Course Objective
Organization is an integral part of our daily life. Every day, people
consume a wide variety of goods and services. Without cooperation and
coordination of their activities, people cannot be able to satisfy all these
divergent needs. The ultimate objective of any organization is to pool
individual effort to satisfy the needs that people working alone cannot.
This course aims at introducing the student to the broad stream of
thought in organization and the historical development of the different
theories related to role of the organization in society since earlier times up
to the present.
Course Description
The major types of organizations as well as their salient and unique
features are highlighted with due reference to their interdependencies in
creating welfare to the society. Moreover, much emphasis on organization's
environment and the theories of the firm .
