Information: Permission form for parent, before & after survey, index cards, club and activity list/information, student handbook Technology: Projector, screen and computer Procedure: Meet with group weekly for 4 weeks, 6 weeks depending on attendance. Address various topics with the group throughout the duration of the meetings. Week 1: Why we are here, challenges of a new school, student safety Week 2: Importance of connecting with the school, discuss clubs, sports and activities available Week 3: Student handbook and school attendance Week 4: Database awareness (review Naviance & Skyward), college and career readiness Weeks 5 & 6: Dependent on the needs of the students Plan for Evaluation: How will each of the following be collected? Process Data: Sign in sheets for each meeting to track who is present. Perception Data: New Student Group survey done prior to the beginning of the program. Outcome Data: New Student Group survey re-done at the conclusion of the program. Follow Up: Create a welcome letter for New Students next year to welcome them to William Tennent and give at least three pointers on how they can transition successfully. 11/15
