Four of us were assigned this project. Initially each of us chose our subtopics and
immediately began looking for sources. I constructed the outline for our page and then made
another outline for my link on our web page. Making the outline for my page really helped me
because it would have been easy to talk about the same thing throughout the page. I often get
stuck on one topic and begin to ramble on and on about it, which isnt effective. For me the most
challenging part initially was finding a book that went well with my topic. I am terrible at finding
books in the library but thats beside the point. After we located our sources, I found it efficient
to make bullet points of the facts before I proceeded to paraphrase my sources. This allowed
me to get all of my thoughts and ideas organized and ensure that my writing remained focused.
After paraphrasing my sources, I placed them on the group document and asked Andrew to help
make sure my paraphrasing was good and went well with our page. One of the hardest tasks to
overcome as a group was making sure our writing ran smoothly together. The four of us have
extremely different writing styles and it was very evident who wrote what once our writing was
side by side. My writing was very loose and conversational while Andrews writing had a greater
academic context. As a group we looked over each of our individual sites and peer edited them
so we could do our best to ensure that no mistakes had been made. When we came to class for
the peer review, we were not prepared. We were unsure of what was actually due so we only
had the questions we had about each of our topics on our page. After leaving class that day, we
inserted tabs, hyperlinks, paraphrases, and pictures onto our page for more visual effect. I
worked with our group leader outside of class when I was paraphrasing and while the site was
being made so we could make the site to the best of our ability. The hardest part about working
in the group was time conflicts. Our group members were very busy with family, school, job and
time scheduling conflicts. With the exception of a few things, we were still able to adequately
make our e-resources page. Another problem we experienced was that each of us did not have
access to our site. The only person who had access was the creator. We had to put everything
into a document and let Andrew upload it which I feel added more work on his plate. I had three
sources as well as a paraphrase from our class book, Technology. Also, I found the video that
was on our site and linked it to what we are talking about in our site.
Upon visiting our site, you are greeted with our introduction and our paraphrase from the
technology book. Also, you see a very cute video from wall-e, one of my favorite childhood
movies. At the top of the page, you can see my name. When you click on my name it brings you
to my page, which is on the artificial intelligence of cars. My page has all of my paraphrases, the
hyperlinks to my sites, and a picture of a self driving car adding visual effects.
As you click through, you can see Brayden, Jacob, and Andrews page. First is Andrews
page, which is all about household robots from your microwave to robots that can cook and
clean for you. Andrew and I worked together outside of class and I think if Jacob and Brayden
would have been able to work with us as well it would have put less stress on Andrew, our group

leader and the project would have been more well put together. Overall our project still came
together well.
Then, you can click on Brayden's name who did not do his site due to personal reasons.
He was not very active in the project due to it. However, if he would have done his site it would
have been on artificial intelligence in the military. The biggest problem we had was him not
responding to our group text, it made it difficult to know who was doing what or if he was going
to do his work at all.
Finally, you can click on Jacob's name, who did his site on artificial intelligence in cell
phones. Most of his site is about Siri, which is quite interesting since it is something I probably
use every day. Another problem we had was Jacob was not able to work with us as a group so it
made it harder for everyone to know exactly what they were going to do. Jacob went home both
weekends we were able to work on this project and has a busy class schedule so he was not
able to work with us during the week either.
I think this project had its up and downs. Ultimately had our group been able to
communicate better and not have had scheduling conflicts I feel the experience would have
been smoother. I feel that not being able to work together put extra work on Andrews plate as
the group leader because that meant he had to put everything on the site on his own time rather
than us doing it collectively as a group. Next time, each of us should have access to the site.
