Bedlam are a brass quintet from York with a repertoire spanning from Baroque
to Contemporary works. The quintet is a mix of Postgraduate and
Undergraduate students from the University of York and operate an ongoing
call for scores for which anybody is eligible to submit scores for the group to
perform at various concerts. Bedlam have currently had works written for the
ensemble by composers from the UK, USA, Asia and mainland Europe.
Bedlam will be premiering the first ever Brass Quintet work by world renowned
composer Dr Richard Shephard at the 2017 Rydale Festival.

Preferred dates
N.B. Concerts take place on Tuesdays and Fridays. There are no concerts
in weeks 1 or 6. The concert on Friday 10th Feb will be a performance
platform concert which individuals or groups will be able to apply to
perform in at the beginning of the Spring Term. The concert on Friday 3rd
March will be the Chimera termly lunchtime concert. Both of these
concert slots are closed to applications.
Please place an 'X' on multiple dates to help with organisation. Place an
asterisk (*) on dates which are not ideal but which you will accept if necessary.

*A Friday concert would be very difficult due to Connor McLeans work on the
music reception.

University Music Society, which are explained in the accompanying guidelines. I
enclose a cheque deposit* payable to YUSU for the amount of 30,
which will only be cashed in the event of the concert being cancelled by the
performer(s).
