Module 201 #3

the end of the day the students will be the one who suffers if they dont
divide by the knowledge of the academic dishonesty procedures. As a future
elementary school teacher, I have taken an initiative of creating an
imaginational understanding on how academic dishonesty could be
interpreted throughout the young minds of students on their specific level.
1. As we start off at the begging of the class period I want each student to
quietly sit down at their assigned seats.
2. I will then start off by passing out the loose computer paper to all the
students in their seats, followed by the individual crayon boxes to each one
of the 15 class members.
3. After each student has received there paper in crayons, I will then
address the criteria for todays lesson.
4. Once the instruction has been addressed in explain thoroughly, I will
continue by passing everyone Popsicle sticks which is referred as the honesty
stick.
(With these sticks, the students are giving an verbal agreement that they will
be honest an truthful throughout dictation of this experiment)
5. After the verbal agreement is reached, and each student has received
their contract of acknowledgment (Popsicle stick), then they are instructed to
take the crayons and draw their specific family on which they live with on the
computer paper to their best ability. They also will be naming each person
they draw and what their relationship is to them.
6. Once everyone has completed their individual art piece, I the teacher will
then perform a false academic dishonesty procedure one several different
students.
7. This is performed by first letting the students know that I do not carry an
honesty stick so therefore I do not have to be honest. I first take any
students completed work assignment, walk it to the front of the class in
explained and dishonest story stating that all their family members are my
family members and the house that they live in is my house of residents. I
repeat this strategy over in over until the students understand that I am
completely being dishonest to them throughout the process.

8. After I feel as if I reached them with the actual meaning of this lesson
plan, I then open the class room up for individual feedback on how they felt
when I stole their work in stated to everyone that it was mines.
9. Now that class is up, I challenge each student to continue to be honest
and to keep their honesty stick with them at all times. At the exit of the door,
if each student could show me that they still had their honesty stick with
them while leaving for their next class then they would receive and ice
cream sandwich out the door.
Analysis
How will this experiment have an impact on their future daily activities?
After demining the fact that these young individuals are still in elementary
school, makes it an perfect time to explain the seriousness of academic
dishonesty adapted to their level. The teaching in up bring of young student
is very critical when showing them that cheating is wrong. We as leaders
should turn cheat into teach.
