InthenameofAllah,allpraisesbelongtoAllahtheMostHighMostWiseandweaskAllahtosendHisPeaceandBlessingsuponMuhammad,His
Companions,andeveryonewhofollowsHispath.Allahisthebestofcreators.Hehasfashionedusthebestform.Allahsaid:Verily,Wecreatedmanofthe
beststature(mould)[AtTin4].
Partofourphysiquearetheorgansthatconnecttooursenseofperceptioneyes,nose,mouth,hands,andears.Therearelegislatedactsforeachofthese
limbsandShaykulIslamIbnAlQayyimdiscussedthemindetailinhisbook,MadarajAsSalikeen.Itsextremelyimportanttoknowandbecautiousof
misusingtheseblessingsAllahgaveusbeforetheytestifyagainstusorforus.Allahsaid:ThisDay,Weshallsealuptheirmouths,andtheirhandswill
speaktoUs,andtheirlegswillbearwitnesstowhattheyusedtoearn.[YaSin65]
Healsosaid:OntheDaywhentheirtongues,theirhands,andtheirlegsorfeetwillbearwitnessagainstthemastowhattheyusedtodo.[AnNur24]
Thereislevelofworshiponthefivesenseswhichreachesatotaloftwentyfive.
Wewillbeginwiththehearingandthe5typesofworshipitfollows:
1.Listeningthatsobligatory:ThisincludessilenceandtolistentowhatAllahandHisMessengermademandatorytohearforallofthebelieverseitherit
isFardorSunnah.ForinstancelisteningtotheImamduringtheaudibledailyprayersandtheFridaysermoninthemasjid.

2.Listeninginonthingsthatareprohibited:ItsharaamtolistentoKufrandBidahunlessthepurposeoutweighstheharmandthisistorefuteitor
testifyagainstthepersonwhomadethestatement.ItsnotallowedinIslamtoeavesdrop,pluslistentoawomansvoicethatcancauseatrial,exceptif
thereisaneedtohearher.i.ehertestimonyincourt.Also,listeningtoidlespeech,musicandmusicalinstrumentsfallinthiscategoryofHaraam.

3.Listeningthatisrecommended:Thiscoverslisteningtoclasses,theQuran,remembrancesofAllahoranykindofspeechthatpleasestheMostHigh
thatsnotobligatorytohear.

4.Listeningtothingsthataredisliked:ThismeanstheearshearthingsthatAllahdoesntliketobeheard,buttheyarentpunishedforlisteningtothem.

5.Listeningtothingsthatallowedtobeheardandthisisknown.

ThenextsenseofamongthefivesensesthatisboundbythecategoriesofAllahsCommandsandHisProhibitionsandeverythingbetweenthemis
thesight.
1.Sightthatiswajibfortheeyestoview:ThisreferstolookingintheQuran,andineducationalmaterialforanissueobligatorytoknow.

2.ViewingsomethingthatisHaraam:Lookingatawomanlustfullyispartoftheprohibitedsightontheeyes,unlessitsdonewiththeintentionofa
marriage.i.elookingatthefianc,orforthedoctorwhenheneedstocarryoutanexamination.StaringattheprivatepartsofapersonisHaraamandthis
kindoflookiswhenthepersonisnakedorintheprivacyoftheirhome.

3.Therecommendedlookatthings:Thisappliestoreadingthingsinbooksofknowledgetoincreaseapersonsfaithandunderstanding,ortolookat
thingsinAllahsCreationtoacknowledgeHisOneness.

4.Lookingatthingsthataredetested:Thisappliestoglancingandreadingthingsthatareuseless.

5.Thepermissiblelook:Apermissiblelookisonethatcausesnoharmandbringsnobenefit.

Aftertheearsandeyesthetonguehasobligationsandprohibitions.

1.Thetasteandconsumptionthatsrequired:Thisgoesforeatinganddrinkingwhenapersonneedstoinordertoavoiddeathandtakingmedicineifa
personiscertainitwillhelpinhisrecovery.

2.ThetastethatisHaraam:Drinkingintoxicantsandswallowingpoison.

3.Tastingthingsthatisdisliked:ThismeansapersoneatsordrinkssomethingandisuncertainifitsHalaloreatingmorethanheneeds.Alsoits
dislikedtoeatordrinkfromapersonwhofeedsyoubecausehestooshytosaynoafteryouveaskedhim.

4.Eatinganddrinkingthatsrecommended:Thismeansapersoneatsinordertogainstrengthtohelphimworship.Thisactionalsotakesintoaccount
eatingasaguestatsomeoneshouseandeatingfoodatawaleemahoratanAqeeqah.

5.Itspermissibletoeatfoodthatsnotprohibitedandthereisnodoubtaboutitbeinghalalorharaam.

2.SmellingthatsHaram:ThisissimilartoapersonusinghisnosetosmellperfumewhileinastateofIhram,tosmellstolenperfume,andtosmella
womansperfumefearingthatitsseductiveandcanleadtoagreaterharm.

3.Smellingthatisrecommended:ThismeansapersoninhalesafragrancethathelpshimtoworshipAllahandbringsdelighttohisspiritsinseeking
knowledge.i.eperfume,oud,orBukhoor.

4.Smellingthatisntrecommended:Thisisbreathinginsomethingthatapersonisuncertainaboutfromuntrustworthymerchants.

5.ThepermissiblesniffforthenoseisonethatAllahhasntprohibitedandhasnorelationshiptoIslam.

TouchinghasitsdutiestomaintainforAllahsworship.

1.TouchingthatisWajib:Thisisdefinedbyamantouchinghiswifewhenhewantstohavesex.

2.TouchingthatisHaraam:ThisinvolvesusingthehandstotouchaNonMahramwomanoraman.

3.Touchingthatisrecommended:Thishelpslowerthegaze,preventsapersonfromsinningandmaintainsdignity.

4.Usingthehandsinfashionthatsdisliked:ThisreferstoapersonwhofondleshiswifewhileisastateofIhramorwhilefastingifhedoesnthavethe
abilitytosuppresshisdesires.

5.Touchingthatispermissible:Thisisforanyandeveryfeelthatsnotharmful.

TheseactionsforWajib,Haraam,Sunnah,disliked,andlawfulareappliedtothehandsandthelegsequallythesame.

Thehandsmustbeusedtogotoworktoearnlivelihoodforyourselfandyourfamily.Itsprohibitedtouseyourhandstokillapersonunjustly.Usingyourhands
fruitlesslyintoomuchsportorleisureisdislikedinIslam,whileusingthemtoauthorthingsforreligiousbenefitisSunnah.Finallyanythingthatisntharmfuland
bringsnobenefitispermissibleforthehandstoengagein.

ThelegshavedutiestofulfillaswellandthisincludeswalkingtotheMasjidforcongregation,JumuahandTawafaroundAllahshouse.Thoseactionsare
obligatoryonthelegsandwalkingtocommitsinisHaraam.ItisfrowneduponinIslamforthefeetwalktoplaceswastingtime,incontrastitssimplyhalalto
strolltodoanactnotlosingarewardorperformingasin.Theseactsalsoincluderiding.Thesefiftyactionsaffect:theheart,thetongue,thehearing,thesight,
thenose,themouthandthehand,thelegs,andtheprivatepartwhenthepersonascendsonhistransportation.
