DIRECTIONS: You will observe many children performing many different kinds of skills. Select 8 (or as
many as you can) different tasks and describe how the high skilled students and the low skilled students are
performing.

Task
1
Yoga Stretch Sequence

2
Dynamic Stretching

Higher Skilled
Quincy:
Quincy was able to follow
directions and perform the
different yoga positions in
duration of the activity. He was
able to explain to me why yoga is
important, as well as lead his
small group in each motion.
Izaiah:
Izaiah demonstrated great
leadership in the small group
activity of dynamic stretching.
Izaiah followed the list that was
provided, keeping his group on
task

Lower Skilled
Desha :
Desha did not want to do the poses
listed, nor did she want to
participate. She had a hard time
understanding the focus of yoga,
which is relaxing and feeling the
stretch of each pose.
Johnathon:
Johnation was not focused on the
activity at hand. Instead, he spent
time throwing the equipment, as
well as telling other students that
he did not want to participate.
This set a bad example for other
students.
