Conclusion
Afterdoingthehotwaterexperiment,participantsbody
temperaturesrose,asidefromonesubject.Itispossiblethat
thisoccurredbecausethehotwater(113degrees)was
hotterthantheparticipant'sbodytemperatures(approx.96
degrees)andthebodiesreactionsweretoattempttomatch
thattemperatureinordertomaintainhomeostasis.Because
thewaterwasheatingupthebloodinthehand,participants
bodiesheatedtomeetupwiththeslightdifferenceinblood.
Afterputtingtheirhandsin4degreewater,participants
bodytemperaturesincreased.Thisislikelyduetothebody
attemptingtoheatupthehandtoavoidfrostbite.Afterdoing
therunningexperiment,thelossofbodyheatwasmore
significantwhenparticipantswerenotwearinglayered
clothing.Thisismostlikelyduetothefactthattheclothing
trappedintheheat.Whenclothingwaslayered,ittrapped
theheatthatwasbeingexertedbythemuscles.Therefore,
