As we passed by the offices, we got the impression that the school promotes openness
communication between students, teachers and other school personnels. We saw how open these
offices are to visitors as well. Walking around the campus, we passed different offices like the
principals office, guidance and counseling office. All of these offices are highly maintained and well
organized. These are just simple but very clean and with good conditioned furnitures accessible to

OBSERVATION REPORT
Name of the School Observed: CATAGGAMAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Location of the School: CATAGGAMAN NUEVO, TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN
Date of Visit: OCTOBER 7, 2016
The school campus has a good environment, a peaceful and orderly community. It has clean
surroundings with fresh air. We have observed that the buildings are in good condition and rooms are
conducive for learning. There are lot of school facilities that contributes to the learning and
development of the students. And the students, teachers and other staffs feel safe because the
buildings are secured with fire estinguishers.
It is a student friendly school. As we entered in their campus, students smiled and greeted us.
As well as the teachers and other school staffs, they are approachable. We can conclude that this
institution is effective and conducive for learning to every students.

OUR ANALYSIS
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact on the learning of the
students going to school? What are your conclusions?
The school campus and the classroom have a big impact on the learning of the students
wherein they are convinced to go to school if they feel comfortable to learn in that kind of school
atmosphere. Therefore, we conclude that the whole environment can help and give part to learners in
making their learnings be developed.
How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/How does
this relate to your knowledge of facilitating learning?
Children spend most of their time in school so make it a point that they are safe and learns
more in a better pacing when they are in an environment which is academically conducive settings,
away from unnecessary noises and disturbances. A negative aura emitted by the school would
ofcourse yield negative results in the performance of the students. Everything must make students
feel at ease while learning. As well as when the teacher uses a more varied set of teaching
techniques and materials, learners will learn better.

OUR REFLECTIONS/INSIGHTS

1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why? Why not?
If we were asked to teach in the school environment we just observed, its definitely yes.
Because it has a conducive setting, clean surroundings having fresh air while teaching, very peaceful
and away from any disturbances.
2. What kind of school campus is conducive for learning?
A school campus must meet several standards to be conducive to learning. The campus must
be the perfect place for the students to be motivated to learn by providing their needs in their
schooling. It must have a good social, intellectual and emotional climate. The school must be away
from any disturbances from the unwanted noise (activities in nearby areas, teaching equipment, or
road traffic). This will allow teachers to communicate without straining their voices. If possible, there
must be adequate sound insulation from the internal walls as to minimize disturbance from adjacent
areas. The rooms must be engineered to minimize the amount of echo that may be generated within
and also for the students to learn, the school must focus both in academic and other activities.
The campus must be aimed at securing not only the health but also the security and welfare of
the students and staff (teachers and other school personnel).
The school must also be able to accommodate for the medical services to the learners. It must
have a professional who can assist the students anytime. This then requires that the school have
medical clinics for students who are ill or injured so they can be looked after appropriately.
Lastly, it must have suitable number of strategically placed toilet facilities for the use of the
students. These facilities must provide separate rooms for boys and the girls, other than the ones for
the teachers.
3. What kind of classroom is conducive for learning?
For a classroom to be conducive to learning, it must be spatially, acoustically, visually and
aerodynamically designed. It must be well- ventilated and wide enough to accommodate the class
and the teacher, along with several educational materials, but not too wide such that the teachers
voice would not be audible to the occupants at the back part of the room. The lights and appliances
are functioning very well.
Visually, it must be well-lit so that the students do not strain their eyes trying to read their
lessons. The interior of the classroom should also be designed to let the occupants feel at peace
while studying. Wall decorations must not take the students focus away from the teacher.
Aerodynamically, air should be able to freely circulate within the four walls of the room if
possible, it must be a mix of natural (wind from the plants and trees) and mechanical (air from the
fans). The temperature of the classroom must not be too low that the students would shiver and
possibly develop colds, nor too hot that the students would be dripping in sweat.
Other than these, we also believe that a classroom can be made conducive to learning with the
help of the teacher. The teacher must have the ability to create an engaging atmosphere in the
classroom in many aspects, including intellectual, social and emotional. While the classroom may be

considered as the body and the students the different organs, the teacher is the heart and mind.
Theres an interaction with the teacher and the students that could establish good camaraderie and
all are united.
4. In the future, how can you accomplish your answer in number 3?
As future teachers, we will guide our students on how to take care of our classroom. And for
the materials involved in learning, make some policies and distribution of works. If the room needs
physical improvement, consultation to their parents will be conducted.
5. Write your additional learnings and insights here.
A study place have a big impact on the

learning process of learners. So it must be in

conducive setting wherein the rooms are well ventilated and well organized. So as the
environment which have no disturbances and no pollution.

OUR LEARNING PORTFOLIO

OUR PERSONAL ILLUSTRATION OF AN EFFECTIVE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

A school environment is an essential component of a students life. School have a
responsibility to provide students with a safe environment wherein to develop academically,
emotionally, behaviorally; while at the same time developing relationship with others. Every student
wants and needs to thrive in a social environment which is stable, structured safe haven, limitations
and boundaries, and respect.
Effective way of learning is when everything learners need is available; books, gadgets,
learning materials and more. But we need to consider the environment of the study place also to
make it more effective. It must be clean, spacious, well lighted and ventilated for everybodys
comfort.
The environment must free from pollution; noise and air pollution. The surroundings is eqiped
clean and green always, and there are trees, plants and flowers that give pleasant feelings to
learners. Birds are singing while wind blows in the time when learners are studying, then learning will
have a best time to perceive. Considering the students as a part of the environment, they must be
respectful, obedient, and loyal to everyone.
A school which accepts everyones opinion and trying to choose the best, a school who loves
the children and accept who they are and what they are is an effective school.

OUR REFLECTIONS/INSIGHTS
1. While you were observing the learners, did you recall your own experiences when you
were their age? What similarities or differences do you have with the learners you
observed?
Yes. While we were observing the learners, we recall our own experiences when we were at
their age. During class discussions, we want to recite because we know the answer to our
teachers question but we cant because we were lack of confidence to raise our hands. And the
similiraties we have with the learners is that we were competitive which we recites in chorus. But
the difference is that, the learners we observed are very noisy. Some learners at the back part of
the class just keep on talking, chatting to their seatmates and have their own businesses which it
seems that they are not respecting their teacher whos discussing infront. We are more disciplined
than them when were at their age.
2. Think of a teacher you cannot forget for positive or negative reasons. How did he/she
help or not help you with your needs (physical, emotional, social, cognitive)? How dit it
affect you?
One of our teacher during our high school days that we cannot forget for positive reason was
our adviser Mrs. Maricel T. Dela Cruz. Shes been a good teacher and a good mother to us. Shes a
great disciplinarian. She always gives pieces of advice to us for our own sake and best. She
challenged us everyday to be active in class. And one of a kind who supports us in our abilities,
talents, and interests or likes.
3. Share your other insights here.
As a future teacher, you are responsible in molding your learners development to be a better
individual. Be patient, be understanding and a loving one to them. As their second mother or
father in the four corner of the classroom and even in the whole institution, facilitate, guide and
give attention to them. Always see to it that they enjoy being in school.

OUR LEARNING PORTFOLIO

FAVORITE THEORY OF DEVELOPMENT THAT CAN GUIDE US AS A FUTURE TEACHER

IDENTITY vs. ROLE CONFUSION

As a future teacher, I will be open mindness and always extend my patience in dealing to
adolescent learners. Because at this stage, they search for a sense of self and personal identity
through an intense exploration of personal veiws independtly wherein they are uncertain about what
to do or unable to understand something clearly in their growth and development. Many things are
happening to themselves in a way that they are unconscious on the way they behave and sometimes
they cannot control it. So in handling learners at this stage, be more patient and understanding but
not to the extent that you will tolerate them when they done something improper and unacceptable.

AND LEARNING

OBSERVATION REPORT FOR THE LEARNERS

CHARACTERISTICS
Name of the School Observed: CATAGGAMAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Observed: GRADE 10 IVORY
Location of the School: CATAGGAMAN NUEVO, TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN
Date of Visit: NOVEMBER 28, 2016

As we observed the class of learners aged 16 17, we can say that they are undisciplined.
They move without gracefulness and unconcious of the way they behave because they were very
noisy even they have their teacher with them discussing infront.
There are 31 learners in the class we observed, wherein 20 boys and 11 girls respectively.
When it comes to their behavior, they are not yet able to manage it on their own. They are
unsensitive on the way they behave and some of them are very clumsy, impolite, and disobedient.
From the group of learners we have oberved, some of them can already work independently by
their own. They can perform well the activity what their facilitator is asking for. But there are also
some of them who cannot finish a certain task alone because they are lack of self confidence to do.
On their span of attention, some of them are not listening to their facilitator because they are
busy playing their cellular phones, chatting, and doing other business with their seatmates and
friends specially those seated at the back portion of the claasroom. And even their teacher shows
anger and irritation, they are still unconscious on the way they behave.
Most of those seated infront specially the girls are really concentrating to listen during class
discussion because they are willing to learn more of what their teacher is saying in front of the class.

OBSERVATION REPORT FOR THE CLASSROOM VISIT

1. Are there areas in the classroom for specific purposes (storage of teaching aids,
books, students belongings, supplies, etc.)? Describe theses areas.
There is an area in the classroom where a small wooden box containing medical and first aid
kits are kept which is located at the front left portion of the classroom. Storage for cleaning
materials or supplies is also found at the back corner. Two bulletin boards are also placed at each
left and right side wall of the room where students profile and classroom officers are indicated.
And there is another bulletin board designed at the back portion of the room where some visual
aids of different class subjects are clipped there for learning purposes.
2. Are there rules and procedures posted in the room? List them down.

As we observed, there are no rules and procedures posted in the room but according to one of
the student, they are not allowed to use cellullar phones during classes and cheating is highly
prohibited.
3. Did the students participate in making the classroom rules? If yes, and the resource
teacher is available, ask him/her to describe the process.
Yes. But only some of the students are giving attention to these rules. There are some who are
not following these rules and regulations imposed by their teacher.
4. What are the daily routines done by the teacher? (prayer, attendance, assignment of
monitors, warm up activities, etc.) How are they done?
The daily routines done by the teacher are greetings upon entering the room, praying before
he starts the lesson proper, checking of attendance, giving some lectures and administering group
or individual activities to the students.
5. Is there seating arrangement? What is the basis of this arrangement?
None. There is no seating arrangement observed inside the class. Mostly of the girls are seated
in front while most of the boys are at the back. They sit where they feel comfortable.
6. Observe the noise level in the classroom. How is this managed?
They are the type of students who are very noisy. We noticed that the way they behave is very
clumsy. Some of them keeps on talking and chatting with one another even if they have their
teacher with them. Because of their kind of behavior, they teacher sometimes scolds them. But if
they just keeps doing it, she just ignored it.
7. If a learner is not following instructions or is off task, what does the teacher do?
Describe the behavior strategies used.
The teacher calls the attention of the learner and try to figure it out why did the learner is not
following instructions or is off task in a nice manner wherein the learner can freely accept it.
8. What does the teacher do to reinforce positive behaviors? (behavior strategies)
The teacher acts as the role model of the class. Encourage the learners to be positive and be
good always. Share inspirational stories and experiences for them to reflect and apply these also
in their daily life and to reinforce them to do and act with positive behaviors.

OBSERVATION NOTES:
We observed that the GRADE 10 IVORY students behaves in a very awkward way which is not
correspond to their age considering that they are already matured individuals. They are noisy and
some of them are really undisciplined. Some of them keeps on talking and chatting with one another
and not listening to the one who is discussing infront specially if a practice teacher is the one whos
facilitating the class. They are also unconscious of the words they are saying to their classmates and
sometimes insensitive to their teachers. Some of them are impolite and naughty. And there are also
learners who are serious to their studies who can work independently in their class activities and
listens carefully and attentively because they really want to learn.

OUR ANALYSIS
1. How did the classroom organization and routines affect the learners behavior?
Classroom organizations and routines affects the learners behavior in a way that if these are
properly imposed, the learners have the guide on the right way they should behave and act as an
individual inside the room and as a part of the society.
2. What should the teacher have in mind when she/he designs the classroom organization
and routines? What theories and principles should you have in mind?
Classroom organizations and routines are the groundwork for a well orchestrated classroom.
The teacher get used to designs those routines in order for the learners to become routinized. And
teachers expertly manage and organize the classroom and expect the learners to contribute in a
positive and productive manner.
3. Which behavior strategies were effective in managing the behavior of the learners?
Why were they effective?
Self discipline is effective in managing the behavior of the learners. It connotes the internal
motivation for ones behavior, the internalization of domestic ideas and is most evident when
external regulations of behavior are absent.
This is effective by implementing rules and regulations and establishing routines in the
classroom.

OUR REFLECTIONS/INSIGHTS
1. Imagine yourself organizing your classroom in the future. In what grade/year level do
you see yourself? What routines and procedures would you consider for this level?
Why?
We imagine ourself teaching in secondary level or in a Grade X learners. We want to teach in
these level because they are matured enough in the way they behave. They can manage and
control their behaviors because they are more conscious to themselves and to others regarding
that they are already in their adolescence stage. They are more responsible and serious when it
comes to their studies and other aspects of their growth and development.
When it comes to routines and procedures, I will consider classroom management to be a high
priority and an area of concern for this level for my classroom to be well structured and
organized.

OBSERVATION REPORT FOR THE LEARNERS

CHARACTERISTICS
1.

Find out the number of students. Gather data as to their ages, gender, racial

groups, religious and ethnic backgrounds.

There are 31 students in the classroom, 20 boys and 11 girls. Their ages range from 16 18
years old. They are mostly itawes from Cataggaman, Tuguegarao City. Most of them are Roman
Catholic, and only five (5) among them are born again in religion according to their teacher.

DURING CLASS:
1. How much interaction is there in the classroom? Describe how the students interact
with one another and with the teacher. Are there groups that interact more with the
teacher than others.
Interactions happen between the students with one another and with the teacher in the
classroom. Sometimes, students interact with they classmates in a bad manner where in they
keep on shouting to each other. And as if they belong to the same level when they interact to their
teacher specially when student practice teacher is the one who is facilitating them. But there are
also instances when some learners interact in a nice manner to their teacher more than others
and these are those who are more responsible aand disciplined students of the class.
2.

Observe the learners seated at the back and the front part of the room. Do they
behave and interact differently?
Yes. As we observed the learners seated at the front part of the room, they are far different at
those seated at the back. They are more behave, attentive and responsible learners compared
those at the back who are not listening and have their own business during class hours.

3. Describe the relationship among the learners. Do the learners cooperate with or
compete against each other?
The relationship of the learners to each other is not that good. They behave to them tactlessly.
There is always a competition among them and some of them doesnt have the initiative to
cooperate specially during class group activities.
4. Who among the students participate actively? Who among them ask for most help?
We have observed that students seated at the front part participated actively than those at the
back portion of the class. Students who are not listening attentively usually seek for help because
their attention is anywhere thats why they doesnt comprehend easily what their teacher is
discussing or talking about.

5. When a student is called and cannot answer the teachers question, do the classmates
try to help him? Or do they raise their hands so that the teacher will call them instead?
When their teacher called a student and cannot answer the question during class discussion,
some of his/her classmates try to help him/her. They raise their hands and the teacher will call
them instead.

OUTSIDE CLASS:
1. How do the students group themselves outside class? Homogenously, by age? by
gender? by racial or ethnic groups? Or are the students in mixed social groupings? If
so, describe the groupings.
Outside the class, students group themselves according to their gender, social status and on
their behavior in the sense that noisy is to noisy and hushed is to hushed.
2. Describe how the learners interact with each other. What do they talk about?
After class hours, we observed them that they share stories, jokes, and laughs with each
other. And as a 21st century individuals, they are mindful of using their gadgets and playing games in
fashioned.

OBSERVATION REPORT
Name of the School Observed: CATAGGAMAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
School Address: CATAGGAMAN NUEVO, TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN

Date of Visit: DECEMBER 1, 2016

Upon entering the classroom, we felt welcomed on the first time because some of the students
greeted and smiled at us. They also offered chairs for us wherein we felt socailly accepted. But our
first and good impression to them turns not good because as we observed them those following days,
we noticed that their section or group is very different on the way they behave and undisciplined.
Some of them are very noisy, talkative and keeps on moving and going out even they have their
teacher with them in front of the class. Some of the are hard headed and impolite mostly of the
boys maybe because their teacher is not that strict kind. But there are also some of them who are
well disciplined and intelligent, these are the responsible kind of students who knows how to
participate and interact well inside the class.
This kind of adolescent learners are hard to mingle and acquainted with because they are at
their stage of self exploration and personal identity wherein they are unmindful or unconscious of
their behavior as growth and development happens in their life. So as a future teacher of them, you
should always pay attention to their actions and be open minded on their behavior. Always extend
your full understanding and be more patient in dealing with them but not in the sense that you well
tolerate them when they done something unacceptable and bad. You as a teacher should learn to
managed well their behavior and always reinforce positive character for them to become better
individual of a society.

OUR ANALYSIS
1.

Identify the persons who play key roles in the relationships and interactions in the

classrooms. What roles do they play? Is there somebody who appears to be the leader,
a mascot/joker, an attention seeker, a little teacher, a doubter/pessimist?

In their class, there is a girl who always seated at the front part who plays a role of being a
disciplinarian, she is responsible and conscious in making the class to keep silent and always pay
attention to their teacher. She is really participating during class discussion and knows how to seeks
for help form their teacher whenever she dont clearly understand the lesson or a given task. She is a
kind of student who is sensitive enough and knows how to interact to other. She is a kind of student
who is sensitive enough and knows how to interact to other in the classroom.

2.

Are students coming from the minority group accepted or rejected by the others?

How is this shown?

Most of them are from Itawes ethnic group of students and they really show belongingness and
acceptance to one another. As we observed them, they can interact and socialize to each other
despite of their diversity in the classroom. We didnt saw any form of rejection or discrimination
among them.

3.

How does the teacher influence the class interaction considering the individual

differences of the students?

Considering the individual differences of the students, the teacher influences the class
interaction by giving them group tasks or activities to motivate and encourage them to be socialize
to each other. The teacher see to it that everybody is participating and always show fairness in
treating them.

4.

What factors influence the grouping of learners outside the classroom?

Outside the classroom, learners grouped according to their gender, social status, and

behaviors. They show some respect, hospitality and kindness to others who they are interacting on.

OUR REFLECTIONS/INSIGHTS
1.

How did you feel being in that classroom? Did you feel a sense of oneness or unity

among the learners and between the teacher and the learners?

At first, we felt conscious because we doesnt know their attitudes and on how they acquaint
with us. But as we regularly observed them, we feel the acceptance and belongingness among
them despite of the awkward way of their behavior. We found out that they are also socially adept.

2.

In the future, how would you want the learners in your classroom to interact? How

will you make this happen?

In the future, we want my learners to be friendly, humble, respectful, obedient and be kind to
everyone. They should be well disciplined and always know how to interact properly to other. To
make this happen, it should starts with us as their teacher first. We will play the role of being a
good model and an exemplar of good manners and right conducts. Always encourage them to
show good relationship and share them some experiences and insights that will give importance
to their lives and for them to reflect and apply it also. Show them the right way on how to interact
and socialize to other.

OBSERVATION REPORT FOR INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES

Name of the School Observed: CATAGGAMAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
School Address: CATAGGAMAN NUEVO, TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN
Date of Visit: DECEMBER 5, 2016
In every group, class or section there were different attitudes and abilities of students. As we
observed the GRADE 10 IVORY students that had been assigned to us, we found out their
differences in times of how they act, perform, participate and cooperate during class group activities,
and on the way they interact with one another. Students who are seated infront and mostly the girls

are those who seems to be performing well in the class. They have the initiative to learn well and
gratitude to understand the lesson while those who seems to be behind are those at the back who
also keeps on making their own business while lesson proper is going on. They cannot comprehend
well the lesson because there are not actively participating in the class discussion. Maybe they just
feel boring to interpret what does their teacher is talking about and it seems that they are the low
achieving learners among the group.
As we observed their teacher or facilitator, she used different methods to handle her learners
and to attain a great performance inside the classroom.

OUR ANALYSIS
1.

Did your observation match the information given by the teacher? Were you able

to correctly identify who among the students performed well and who did not? What
behavior helped you identify them? (volunteering to answer, responding to teachers
direction, etc.)
Definitely yes. We were able and easily identify among the students performed well and who
did not. Through their behavior or attitudes on how they interact with their teacher by means of
volunteering to answer questions and actively participating during class discussions, and
responding to their teachers directions when class individual or group activities are administered
among them. And also by having a high or low scores in their given tasks.

2. Describe the differences in ability levels of the students in the class. Is there a wide
gap between the students who are performing well and those that are not?
As we observed the students, we found out their differences in ability on how they act,
perform, participate and cooperate during class group activities, and on the way they interact with
one another. It seems that there is no wide gap between the students. Students who are
performing well has the gratitude in understanding the lesson while those who cannot easily
interpret what thus their teacher is talking about feel to get boring. But we saw that there is good
class interaction and cooperation inside the classroom.

3. Describe the methods used by the teacher in handling the students differences in
abilities. How did the students respond to the teacher? Did the teacher used
differentiated instruction? If yes, describe how?
Their teacher or facilitator she used different methods to handle her learners, to attain a great
performance and usually remind them to maintain orderliness and to observe silence inside the
classroom. Their teacher always communicates to the learners in a nice way and the students
respond to their teacher in decent and right manner. And in order to develop their listening skills
and gain intellectual knowledge, their teacher usually motivate and encourage them to be
attentive and participate.

OUR REFLECTIONS/INSIGHTS
1.

Recall the time when you were in the elementary or high school. Recall the high and

low achievers in your class. How did your teacher deal with differences in abilities?
Was your teacher effective?
When we were in high school, I remembered our teacher dealing with us in a nice way and in a
good manner considering our differences in abilities, strengths and weaknesses. Our teacher
challenged us to study well and encouraged us to pay attention during discussion in order for us
to develop the listening skills and to build our intellectual knowledge specially to those low
achievers in the class in coping up the lesson.
In dealing with our differences, our teacher definitely effective because she considered the
different abilities and had shown to us that she knows how to balance evrything. She handled and
managed as well where she promoted fairness and equal treatment among us for us to gain self
confidence.

most comfortable except lecturing.
C. Preparing two different sets of examination, one for the fast learners andanother for the
slow learners.
D. Applying two sets of different standards.

OUR LEARNING PORTFOLIO

The Multiple Intelligence suggests that no one set of teaching strategies will work best for all
learners at all times. All children have different proclivities in the seven (7) intelligences, so any
particular strategy is likely to be successful with several students, and yet, not for others. Because of
these individual differences among learners, teachers are best advised to use a broad range of
teaching strategies with their learners. As long as instructors shift their intelligence emphasis from
presentation to presentation, there will always be a time during the period or day when a student has
his or her own highly developed intelligence/s actively in learning.
Multiple intelligence emphasizes the rich diversity of ways in which people show their gifts
within intelligences as well as between intelligences.
Everyone has the capacity to develop all seven intelligences to a reasonably high level of
performance if given the appropriate encouragement and enrichment.

OUR ANALYSIS
FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS IN THE LEARNER DEVELOPMENT PROFILE
1. From your home visit and interview, what do you think is the style of parenting
experienced by the learner? Explain your answer?
Authoritative style of parenting is what the learner experienced where his parents plays the
role of a good parent or guardian to him. The parents are active participants on the growth and
development of the learner. They are loving kind and have clear views and reasonable
expectations and limits to the life of their son. They treat him with respect and have high value
on moral. And they know how to support, recognize and even give rewards for whatever
achievements he had done.
2. Relating your data with what you learned from child development, what family factors
do you think contribute to the development and over all adjustment of the learner in
school?
The family factors that contribute to the development and over all adjustment of the learner
in school are family background, relationship among the members of the family, and economic
status of the family.
Family background may contribute to the development of a child because if a family have a
good relationship among his/her members of the family, this reflects to the way he/she deals with
other people in the community where he/she belongs. And on the aspect of economic status, the
high profile families are more influencial than those living in less profile.
3. Does the communication between the home school have an effect on the learner? If
yes, what are these effects?
Definitely yes. The communication between the home school have an effect on the learner
because these are considered as the most important agencies of education to learners growth and
development. First education starts at home and school is one of the best mediumand s through
which the national goals for human resource is develop and only through schooling by the support
of parents contribute to the complete development and success of an individual of a society.

OUR REFLECTIONS/INSIGHTS
1. Reflect on your own development as a child. What type of parenting did you
experience? How did it affect you?
Reflecting on our own development as a child, authoritative style of parenting is what we also
experienced. As we grow, the way our parents have raised us contribute to the way how we reflect
and how we behave now.
2. As a future teacher, how would you establish good home school collaboration? How
can you work well with the parents? How can you help them? How can they help you?
As a future teacher, to establish good home-school collaboration you need to listen to each
others ideas and opinions and dont argue over leadership. Also work together and communicate
well to get different views. These conditions are accomplish through joint problem-solving; two
way communication and shared decision-making. Trust has been identified as a key element in
effective school- family relationships.
