WHY DO I NEED MATH?

The most common question

asked by high
school students. I know
most students
dread the
thought of taking a math class.
I am here to encourage students that they can do it! Always keep a positive mindset.
Although it may not seem like
you need to know

y=mx+b,
math may
help you
solve problems that do
not involve
letters or
numbers. However you will
always need math when it
comes to dealing with money.
No matter how long it may
take, I will try my best to help
you understand Math.

WHAT IS SLOPE-INTERCEPT FORM?

Slope-intercept
form is
y=mx+b. M is
the slope of the
line. In order to
find the slope of
the line, you
need to use the
formula rise
over run. Rise is
the change as
you go up. Run

is the change as
you go across.
B is the yintercept. You
can find the find
the y-intercept
by looking at
the graph where
the line crosses
the y axis. If you
have only the
slope and a

point on the
graph, you will
be able to find
the y-intercept.
