INTRODUCTION

Traffic accident - occurs when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian,
animal, road debris or other statutory obstruction such as tree or utility pole. Traffic may
consist of pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, vehicles, street cars and other
conveyance s either singly or together while using the public way for purposes of travel.
Accident (legal meaning) an accident is any happening beyond the control of a person
the consequences of which are not foreseeable There is no criminal liability in accident
provided, the following requisites or elements under the law must be satisfied;
1. Performance of a lawful act 2.with due care 3.causes injury to another by mere
accident 4. without any fault or intention of causing it.

DISSCUSSION
Our teacher discuss about the traffic law which govern traffic and regulate vehicles.
Traffic signs/road signs are signs erected at the side of the roads to provide information
to road users. He also discuss the rules of the road, traffic signal/ traffic light, speed
limit, traffic accidents, causes of traffic accidents and this are the following: human
factors, motor vehicle speed, driver impairment, road design, and vehicle design and
maintenance. The skid marks are divided into: acceleration mark, braking marks and
yaw marks. Traffic Congestion - "traffic jam" - is a condition on roads, streets or
highways that occurs as use increases. There are 3 Characteristics of
Traffic Congestion 1. Slow speed of vehicles 2. Longer travel time 3. Increased vehicle
queuing. Pedestrian is a person traveling on foot whether walking or running. Traffic
Island is a small raised area in the middle of a road which provides a safe place for
pedestrians to stand and marks a division between two opposing streams of traffic.
These are the kinds of Traffic Islands 1.Divisional and or Pedestrian Barrier
2.Channelizing Island 3.Refuge Island 4.Rotary Island. Traffic Law Enforcement
comprises all police activities in connection with the direction of traffic, regulation and
education of drivers, determine potential offenders, constant patrol, giving of assistance
in the prosecution of offenders, investigation of accidents, follow-up complaints,
requesting police action, warning, summoning or arrest of violators, reporting of road
hazards and obstruction. These are the action of a Traffic Enforcement 1.Detection
2.Apprehension 3.Prosecution 4.Adjudication 5.Penalization. Enforcement action is
usual limited to: 1.Verbal or written warning; 2.Summon or citation requiring the offender
to appear in court; 3. Arresting traffic violators for traffic violations not attended
4.Suspension or revocation of license; 5.Payment of fines or civil damages, and;
6.Prosecution of criminal offenses in relation to traffic. These are the Purpose of
Traffic Patrol 1. Deterrent to violations and dangerous driving. 2. Detecting and
apprehending violators. 3. Observing and reporting traffic conditions. 4. Observing and
reporting road conditions, including view obstruction which needs attention. 5. Providing
certain services to the public criminal offenses in relation to traffic.

FINDING
Ive learn in this class are the meaning of traffic, traffic congestion, the kinds of traffic
island, traffic accident, the rule when driving and in roads. Ive also learn the traffic
signs, the use of road lines to avoid accidents. Also learn how to investigate traffic
accident, what to do first and how to handle traffic accident. I also learn that when you
violate traffic rule youll get a violation ticket from LTO and because of it they will get
your license and maybe even your car if its accident or you steal it.

CONCLUSION
Therefore in traffic manage and accident investigation one of the most dangerous
places to find oneself in the United States is driving or walking on streets or highways.
The staggering death toll averages approximately fifty thousand fatalities annually, and
citizens would not be surprised to learn that highway accidents are one of the leading
causes of death among young people and police officers. The ironic part of this Filipino
tragedy is that systematic vehicle traffic deaths are often preventable. Educators,
researchers, engineers, and law enforcement personnel, working together, can reduce
injuries and fatalities. Traffic services represent a collaborative effort across many
disciplines. While education, engineering, and law enforcement are important, there are
many more factors at work. Creating safer roads, safer cars, and, most important, safer
drivers will help prevent traffic-related fatalities. Traffic services and management will
remain a vital part of these lifesaving efforts.

RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that it is helpful to student because of it we knowledge about the rules of
traffic , what must do when it comes to driving and even walking in road highways.
