JOB RESPONSIBILITES & EXPERTIES
1). Verification of applicable documents (Specifications, Drawings, Procedures, Welder approvals, Mill
Test Certificates, MSDS).
2). Verification of Welding Process and ancillaries; Equipment, Cables, Regulators, Ovens, Quivers etc.
3) Verification of Materials as per drawing (Size, Condition, Specifications, Storage)
4) Verification of welding consumables as per approved WPS (Size, Condition, Classification, Storage)
5) Verification of welder qualification record before his deployment on job site

6) Witness of WQT and PQR.

7) Preparation of Weld maps and joint marking on Isometric drawings.
8) Verification of Marking out, weld preparation & set up; Method, Angles/Root face gap values,
Distortion Control measures, Pre-heat prior to tack welding where applicable.
Responsible for verification of following during welding
1). Pre-Heating verification, (Method and control)
2) In process distortion control
3) Consumables control, Correct baking and storage prior to and during use.
4) Welding process (Related parameters i.e. volts/amps. gas flow rate)
5) Welding run sequence and inter-pass cleaning.
6) Minimum/maximum Inter-pass temperatures.
7) Full compliance with all variables given on the WPS.
8) Maintain all Quality Control records
After Welding Activities responsible for the following
1). Visual Inspection of all Shop/Field Weld Joints.
2) Verification of completion of all applicable Non Destructive tests/examination (RT/PT/MT/UT)
3) Verification of PWHT requirement and its implementation where applicable.
4) Inspection of Pneumatic testing of lines where applicable.
5) Inspection of Hydro-static testing of lines where applicable.
6) Preparation & finalization of all Line summaries record as per drawing
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Tanks Fabrication, Erection and Testing)

1). Inspection of Tank fabrication and erection such as Fixed roof tanks like Cone, dome shape, Heavy
Slope; Floating Roof tanks, Hemi Spheroid, and Spherical Tanks as per API 650, API 620
2) Foundation and level check, Bottom Plate laying Inspection and material traceability.
3) Responsible for the inspection of Pre-and Post-welding
4) Preparation of welds maps (Bottom, shell and Roof).
5) Visual inspection of welding.
6) Vacuum Box Test (VBT) of Bottom Plate Welds.
7) Oil Penetrant Test (OPT) of Bottom to Shell welds.
8) Pneumatic Leak Test (PLT) of reinforcement pads.
9) Peaking and banding inspection of Tank welds according to API 650.
10) Plumpness of tanks
11) Preparing of the QA/QC Format and Reports.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Piping Fabrication, Erection and Testing)

1). Inspection of pre-fabricated piping

2) Stage & Final Inspection, Welding & Dimensional checks
3) Ensure the material traceability & reviewing of MTCs & lab test reports
4) Inspection of fit-up as per applicable drawing & WPS
5) Control the consumables as per WPS & Procedure
6) Preparation of Weld Map, marking of joints on Isometric drawings
7) Preparation of weld summary/ line inspection summary list
8) Reviewing of WPS, PQR & WQT.
9) Visual inspection of welds and perform PT & MT
10) Monitor all NDT processes and reviewing of RT films as per c odes & specifications
11) Maintain all NDT records
12) Reviewing of PWHT graphs (if any) & reports according to codes & specifications
13) Perform and supervise Hardness test
14) Hydrostatic/Pneumatic/Water fills test inspection and preparation of the reports
15) Inspection of pre-cleaning, flushing /post-cleaning of piping system after hydro-test and prepare the
reports.
16) Preparation / compilation of complete QA/QC Dossier.

WELDING INSPECTOR
Responsible for all site Inspection activities for listed down activities.
1). Working for inspection of deck and jackets as per off sure structure code AWS D 1.1 and
implementation WPS, PQR&WQT (6G/6GR) and maintaining all welder record and witness.
2) Working for inspection of different material based on MTO, used in project and equipment as per client
standard and international standard.
3). Welding stage inspection as TKY joints as per structure code, piping, hydro test activity, Pre welding, in
process welding and post welding phases and maintain the record.
4) Monitor and inspection of all QA/QC related activities, Fit Up clearance as per drawing, back gouging,
review survey reports ,post weld survey for column and diagonal bracing joints, and implementation
according to clients specification (SAEP and SAES).

5) Inspection of fabrication and pre fabrication as per clients specification.

6) Responsible for NDT as per codes and clients requirement.
7) Implementation of safety activities and safety plan at site.
