CAUSE OF DEATH:
Gunshot wound to the chest
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Examined the body of a fully developed, well nourished, adult female cadaver, unclothed, in
rigor mortis with post mortem lividity at the back. The lips and nail beds are pale. The genitalia
is that of an adult female.
EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL FINDINGS
HEAD AND NECK:
- Contusion hematoma 10cm diameter (R) temporal area
- Contusion hematoma 5cm diameter (L) mastoid area
- No skull fracture and subarachnoid hemorrhage
THORAX AND ABDOMEN:
1. Gunshot wound, with point of entry at the left lower mammary region, measuring 1.0 x
0.6cm, 14.0cm from the anterior midline, 147cm from the heel, with an abrasion collar of
0.7cm located superiorly and laterally, directed upwards, medialwards and to the right,
lacerating the skin and its underlying tissue, fracturing the third rib, lacerating the 3 rd
intercostals space, upper lobe of the left lung, left ventricle of the heart and 5th thoracic
vertebrae. A bullet is recovered at the lower lobe of the right lung. The bullet had cotton
fibers attached to it. No tattooing noted.
2. Presence of cotton fibers noted. Cotton fibers found surrounding the entry wound, within
the right lung, and attached to the bullet recovered from the body.
3. All internal organs are present and grossly examined. The left and right thoracic cavities
are filled with blood and blood clots amounting to 1,500ml and 1,000ml. The stomach
contains approximately 300 milliliters of brown fluid and partially digested food material.

The stomach and proximal duodenal mucosa have no ulcers, hemorrhages, or


perforations. The small and large intestines have smooth serosal surfaces and no ischemic
changes. The vermiform appendix is unremarkable.
3. EXTREMITIES:
- Abrasion noted, linear, 0.5com (L) posterior deltoid
- Abrasion (R) elbow
- Abrasion (L) big toe foot
- Contusion hematoma (L) lateral arm
- Abrasion, middle 3rel digit III, digit II (R) hand
- Abrasion 1.0cm (L) forearm
- The upper and lower extremities are symmetrical with the normal number of digits,
bilaterally. The fingernails are short and evenly trimmed without tearing. The
antecubital fossae are unremarkable. There
are no palpable fractures on the
upper extremities. On the right upper arm are no fewer than three, irregular, redbrown abrasions ranging in size from 1/4 inch in diameter to 2 inches in diameter.
NOTES: Bullet retrieved from the body was placed inside a sealed plastic bag, marked DDM01. Said bullet was indorsed to Evidence Custodian PO3 Chris D. Pimentel of the SOCO Team
led by SP04 Paul G. Reyes in relation to the Milagros Supil case.
