NOTICE
ANNUAL CONVOCATION-2016

TO RECIPIENTS OF DEGREES/DIPLOMAS/MEDALS

The Annual Convocation of Jamia will be held on November 11, 2016 at

11:00 a.m. at Mansoor Ali l<han Pataudi Sports Complex, Bhopal Ground, Jamia Millia
Islamia, New Delhi. Degrees/Diplomas/Medals will be awarded to those candidates who
have passed their examinations in the year 2015, (In case of PhDs, notified upto October,
2016).
Instructions:

1. For the list of Awardees of degrees/diplomas/medals and also for any subsequent
announcement, please visit at httB:/!jmi.ac._!_nLan_n.~EJ~9_mro~.ttQJl2016 on or
after October 27, 2016.

2. The gowns and hoods will be available at the lawn of Dr. M.A. Ansari
Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia from the Costumier on payment of Rs. 500/- as
deposit (refundable) and Rs. 50/- (as hire charge) on November 11, 2016 from
8:00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
3. The gowns and hoods must be returned intact at the same place, on the same day
after the Convocation is over.
4. Recipients, marked absent. shall pay Rs. 100/- to Jamia before he/she is admitted
to the Degree.
5. Recipients of degrees/diplomas/medals must wear the prescribed academic
costumes (gowns and hoods) before entering the Convocation Hall and also have
"Entry Pass" issued to them.

6. For getting "ENTRY PASS", recipients may download 'FORM-A' from Jamia's
website or obtain it from the office of the DEAN, STUDENTS' WELFARE located
behind Safdar Hashmi open air theatre. Duly filled in "FORM-A" must be
submitted personally or by authorizing a person with a valid identity proof latest
by November 09, 2016 upto 5:00 p.m. at the same place, failing which recipients
will not be allowed to participate in the Annual Convocation.
7. PlEASE NOTE 'FORM-A' will not be accepted through e-mail or by post.

Instructions:
1. The candidates must not carry mobiles and electronic devices at the venue of the Convocation.
2. Entry in the Convocation Hall will only be allowed on showing the Entry Pass.
3. The gown and hood will be available on November 11, 2016 from 8.00 am to 10.30 a.m. at the
Lawn of Dr. M. A. Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia.
4. Recipients must be seated at the venue of the Convocation by 10:45 a.m. positively.
5. Recipients must collect their degrees on November 11, 2016 from their respective
Faculties/Departments/Centres after the Convocation is over.
