Improvement of the quality of education can be done through three main
components, namely students, teachers ' competence and learning facilities. The
increasing number of students learning resources then don't expect much from
teachers. The problems facing teachers how students can improve their learning
interests and results particularly on subjects maintain servicing the fuel system EFI
petrol grade X Lightweight Vehicle Engineering Department (TKR) SMK Negeri 3
Boyolangu. To optimize the learning process, researchers tried to use cooperative
learning model type TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) and hope implementation
of cooperative learning model type TAI can increase interest and student learning
outcomes.
Target in research is class x tkr 2 because this class there are students living
class so the learning process must optimal so that interest and study result of the
students could increase. Researchers used observation, poll and tests as a gatherer
data in research. The kind of research is research descriptive qualitative with
reference model ptk while analysis conducted by the use of quantitative. Research
instrument used covering sheets observation, tests and poll response students while
scale size research use scale likert.
The research results obtained that the taking of action based on the
observation of divergence of students activities on rounds to 2, i.e. students tend to be
more active in discussions and provide input to the materials being studied. The post
tests showed that rising levels of student learning in comparison with results of the
study on the previous semester, accounting for 93% of students study at midday while
7% are not thoroughly studied. Students ' learning interest tends to increase with use
of model pembelajarn this is seen from the results of questionnaires that are given.
