United in Spirit, and inspired by God's grace, we
love all, welcome all, and seek justice for all.
We believe in extravagant welcome. This is
why we insist that God's communion table is
open, not closed, and God's gift and
claim in baptism are irrevocable. We
advocate justice for all. Our congregations extend hospitality as a sign of
God's inclusive love. We teach that
evangelism - offering bread to those in search of
it - is God's mission. Our perspective is global,
not provincial. We work with - not against - people of other faiths. Why?
Because God is still speaking!
PALM of PRAYER
For Im going to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Dont you see it? I will make a
road through the wilderness of the world for
my people to go home, and create rivers for
them in the desert! Isaiah 43:19 (TLB)

To the Zion UCC Family,
Thank you so much for allowing us to use your
beautiful church on our wedding day. The
church and the entire facility is absolutely
perfect. We really appreciate the kind card
and well wishes that you sent us. It is our hope
that God continues to shower your church
family with his many blessings and love.
Thanks again,
Kris & Jessica White
THANK YOU!
To all the carolers who came to our

New Beginnings Make New Endings
by Cathy Irvin
The Lamplighter
How we will end this year will be determined by how we started it. Did we want to get
more "INTIMATE" with the lover of our soul? I
looked up the word intimacy and the meaning is
to be close, familiar, very personal and private.
Do you want a new ending this year? How
do you want the ending of your life? If you're not a
Christian, please know that this could be the best
New Year of your life. Your life can be filled with
hope and peace. To know what the ending will be
is an extra bonus. Why should every year be the
same as the one before with nothing really changing? After all, the New Year resolutions may or
may not get accomplished.
If you are a Christian and you feel stagnate in your relationship with the Lord, then now
is the time to rekindle the love affair with Him. He
calls us to Himself and says, "Come away my beloved." Can you hear Him? He is tugging at your
heart. The real ending in our life will be when Jesus says well done my good and faithful servant.
That statement will be for someone who took the
time to get to know Him, love Him, and that obediently followed Him.
Cathy Irvin authored well over 50 Devotions for CBN
over three decades where she served the Lord Jesus
Christ at the Christian Broadcasting Network. Cathy
loved telling stories and glorifying God in all that she
did. On December 16, 2011, Cathy left this earthly
dwelling to take up residence in the dwelling prepared
for her in Heaven. Her Devotions minister with love
and truth.
