NOTICE INVITING PRE-QUALIFICATIONS


Notice is hereby given by the William S. Hart Union High School District (District) of Los Angeles County, California, in compliance with
Assembly Bills 1565 and 1851, that all general contractors and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) subcontractors planning to
participate in bidding on certain public projects, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20111.6, shall be pre-qualified prior to
submitting bids for such public projects, including lease-leasebacks. All contractors who intend to submit bids on public projects must
complete the pre-qualification application and be approved by the District.
The District is accepting pre-qualification applications online for the January period through the QualityBidders web-based tool available
at https://hart.qualitybidders.com. A link to the QualityBidders online application is also available on the Districts Purchasing & Bids
Department website at www.hartdistrict.org. The Districts January pre-qualification application period will be open from Sunday, January
1, 2017, to Tuesday, January 10, 2017. All applications must be complete and submitted online in the QualityBidders system by
Tuesday, January 10, 2017. For detailed instructions and information on the Districts pre-qualification procedures, please review the
procedures document available on the Districts Purchasing & Bids Department website at www.hartdistrict.org.

Proposals & Bidding Opportunities


The District intends to request proposals and/or bids for construction projects funded with Measure SA General Obligation Bonds
and other Capital Facilities Funds. A summary of the status of planned projects is available on the Prequalification link on the
Districts Purchasing & Bids Department website at www.hartdistrict.org.

Pre-Qualification Applications
Pre-qualification applications submitted by contractors are not public records and are not open to public inspection. All information
provided will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law, although contents may be disclosed to third parties for the purpose of
verification, investigation of substantial allegations, and in the process of any subsequent appeal proceedings. State law requires that the
names of contractors applying for pre-qualification status be public records subject to disclosure.

Owners Rights
The District reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and omissions in the information contained in the pre-qualification application
submitted and to make all final determinations.
