Create Fund FM51

Definition:-

This transaction is to be used for creating Fund

Funds balance provided for a specific purpose by a
sponsor and managed separately.
This Amount is available over and above normal
allocation of Budget to particular Fund Center / Group
Funds represent funds (amount) that are limited as to
time available or function, which have been made
available to cover specific expenditures. They can also
be used as administration or accounting units to
separate activities so as to facilitate further analyses or
another Reporting
Prerequisite:-

FM Area must be existing in the system.

Menu Path:-

Accounting -> Public Sector Management -> Funds

Management -> Master data -> Fund -> Create
Transaction Code: FM51
Double Click on FM51
Enter Alphanumeric Key for Fund and FM Area on
initial screen as shown below:

Click
On the Fund screen maintain following fields:
Name
Description
Validity Period for Fund ( it can be in the same
financial year or can also run across more that
one year
Budget Profile for Fund
Balance Update it is selected if you want to
carry forward balance of Fund to next Financial
Year.
See the Screen shot below:

We are not selecting Balance Update as this Fund is

will be valid only during current year and need not be
carried forward.
click on

for saving your data

System returns message about saving of Fund as

below:

Result: Fund is created successfully.
