EXCERPT FROM THE MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PARISH
PASTORAL COUNCIL OF SAINT ANTHONY OF PADUA PARISH, ON OCTOBER
2, 2005 AT THE CWL BUILDING, SIBULAN, NEGROS ORIENTAL.
RESOLUTION NO. 2005-2
WHEREAS, Msgr. Candelario Catubig presented to the Parish Pastoral Council
meeting for action the letter of Municipal Mayor, Antonio Renacia address to Most Rev.
John F. Du, Bishop, Diocese of Dumaguete, Thru Him for the construction of two (2)
comfort rooms near the tricycle terminal inside the church compound of St. Anthony of
Padua Church;
WHEREAS, the said letter request was thoroughly deliberated by the members of
the council for discussions, however it was met with several legitimate objections and the
negative effects of the construction of the said comfort rooms inside the church
compound;
WHEREFORE, upon mass motion of all members present, except one, and duly
seconded by the majority, the PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL OF ST. ANTHONY OF
PADUA PARISH resolves as it hereby RESOLVED to DENY the said request of the
Municipal Mayor to construct two comforts rooms inside the compound of the church.
