ABSTRACT
Many kinds of analysis about the utilizing of fly ash for the making of concrete
have been conducted. The analysis is done here by utilizing coal waste combined
with cement, sand, quicklime, aluminium powder and water to produce a produt
called light batako. For the use of fly ash 28%, 26%, 24%, 22% in sample A and
78%, 76%, 74%, 72% in sample B, the percentage of aluminium powder used
starts from 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% of total mass mixture. Test sample of the test is the
cube with 3 cm x 3 cm x 10 cm dan the cylinder with the 5 cm of diameter. The
optimum value resulted for sample A by the mixture ofCaO 15%, Portland
cement20%, sand 35%, fly ash22% and aluminium powder 8% results density
1,177 gr/cm3,water absorbtion 20,23%,compressive strength 4,365 MPa, impact
strength 9766.6 J/m2, and hardness 81 HVN. Optimum value for sample B with
the mixture of 72% fly ash, Portland cement 20%, aluminium powder 8%,
resultsdensity 0,919 gr/cm3, water absorbtion17,19%, compressive strength
4,065MPa, impact strength 7600 J/m2, hardness 81 HVN.
