WRITING EXPERIENCE

Writing Experience
Writing is never the same for everyone; some people find it easy putting their thoughts
down on paper while for others it is the opposite. For me, horrible moments are made from
writing. This paper will feature my writing experience and expound on the kind of experience I
came across while putting down thoughts on paper. One of the toughest things I come to realize
is that I am an essayist. But, just saying the kind of phrase, I am a writer? carries a certain
range of anxiety. Writing has not been my thing. While growing up, I feel in love with Math and
Science and never a day did I thought of taking a pen and putting down words. Despite the
immense struggles did by my mom to have me sit down, write and practice spellings, I still
preferred my complicated calculation and exploring the world of science. I could not escape the
reality of writing for long, my day of reckoning came, our professor offered a writing task to
every one of us in class, and it was due in a week. Everyone was to submit a handwritten paper.
The experience I had writing is something I do not want to encounter again in life, but because I
did it, I learned that punctuations serves a great purpose in writing, proofreading is a spice of an
excellent paper and by the end of task my writing skills has been elevated. .
The initial purpose of putting ideas together was not clear to me. Every time I started
writing the paper, upon reaching the third sentence, i would end up tearing up the paper. The
ideas to be put down on paper were clear in my mind, but the technique of putting the thoughts
down was a nightmare. I thought taking the writing class would improve my writing game, but it
barred no fruits. I ended up thinking that my English Professor hated me, but I came to realize
later she was trying to make me better. Supporting facts with clear examples they say is a spice
of a great paper, I lacked pieces of substantial facts that I could link to the statements in my

paper. Providing citations to an essay serves a purpose of crediting authors, not to talk about the
horrible time I had inserting proper formats of references. Typically, judging my paper a student
from high school could have done better than the paper I submitted.
Credentials of punctuation were something that I had not mastered well; I left most
sentences and statements unpunctuated. Upon reviewing of my essay my professor ascertained
that I scored zero in terms of how statements were being punctuated, he added that I did not used
vocabularies to transform how my essay appeared. While it is factual that other writers take few
minutes to draft their thoughts and bring them out well on paper, as I went on putting words
down the all-time lasted like forever, staying on the cold and being rained seemed a better time
for me, unlike the time I spend writing. Ending an essay will be ideal if it is ended with suspense
and moral lessons; since I wasnt sure what my essay would look, I ended up ending the essay
with unclear statements and misplaced quotes. As I reflect on my weakness on writing I feel that
for any thoughts to be brought out well, a writer must own the kinds of thoughts to write, unless
one speaks out of his/her heart, his/her essay wont be extraordinary.
Nothing motivated me to proofread my work; I wasnt confident of what I had written,
any idea to proof read the content I had written was not encouraged by my spirits. I came to
understand that comparing and bringing out contrasts in various statements makes an essay
exceptional from the rest; my statement was not merged with different opposing thoughts.
Abstracts highlight what readers should expect from an essay; my essay lacked an abstract which
left anyone who was to going to read my essay not to know where to begin while reading the
paper.

WRITING EXPERIENCE

It is important for students to write about their writing experience so that they can mirror
their previous mistakes and work on them as required by their tutors. It is fundamental for
students to practice and devote themselves to writing, nothing gets worse with practice.
Everyone is subjected to weakness and strengths; overpowering weakness might be easier than
you might think if only you pursue the kind of struggle that it is required. Professors should
identify students with poor writing skills and impart them with the kind of skills that will elevate
their writing capability. They sky should be the limit for anyone who wants to be a great writer,
learning should be embraced till one is fine with the necessities that come along while writing of
thoughts. Writing classes should be compulsory for every student in college, no one should
escape the reality of writing. Non-English speakers should be encouraged that English is just
simple English just like their home languages. When armed with great writing skills students
will be able to document great resumes when they graduate, poor paperwork will be a thing of
the past.
