The description of (script for) the lesson, wherein you describe teacher activities and student
activities
Teacher: Good morning class! Today you are going to start your paintings but before I set you free I
want to do a quick demonstration of acrylic painting.

9:02am

9:12am

I want you to first draw in pencil a rough sketch of your plan. Then youre going to take a neutral
colour, something like burnt sienna and water it down like this. And youre going to layer down the
base. Then go with a blue and water that down and add in the shadows. Then once you have these steps
down I want you to add a middle tone. Then you go into the detail. Ive seen you guys go straight to the
detail from the beginning. So this will help you slow down your painting process and make it a richer
piece of artwork.
Development

Okay youre free to go and start!

Teacher goes around and does the following checklist for students and answers questions:
Sketching with pencil
Burnt sienna layer
Blue layer
Middle tone layer

Okay at this point you should have some work done walk around and look at people works. Comment if
you have suggestions or compliments
