COMBINATION OF SAND AND FLY-ASH MIXED LAYER ON THIN SAND
ASPHALT CLASS A (SAND SHEET-A) By: Muhammad Iqbal Akbar Nim. H1A112046 ABSTRACT The research was conducted to illustrate the extent of the effect of using a combination of sand fly-ash in a mixture of constituent materials Latasir and optimize the use of fine aggregate with a combined aggregate fraction contrivance according to the job mix formula. Tests carried out using the procedure SNI. If the testing procedures are not on SNI, used other procedures such as AASHTO and ASTM. The design asphalt content (Pb) as well as the aggregate mix design using analytic methods refer to the specifications of Highways (2010). This research used sand of Mandi Angin Village Banjar Regency of Banjarbaru city, and fly-ash coal combustion waste results of Steam Power (power plant) Asam-Asam Village Jorong Sub district of Tanah Laut Regency and asphalt Pen 60/70 Ex-shell Singapore. The research showed that the stability of Marshall on a combination of the mixture (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75) all mixtures satisfy the specifications of Highways. Flow on the combination of the mixture (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75) all mixtures satisfy the specifications of Highways. VFB on the combination of the mixture (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75) all mixtures satisfy the specifications of Highways. VIM on a combination of the mixture (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75) mixture satisfy all specifications, except mixtures of Highways 25/75. VMA on the combination of the mixture (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75) all mixtures satisfy the specifications of Highways. MQ on a combination of the mixture (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75) all mixtures satisfy the specifications of Highways. The mixture can all be used as road pavement material because it satisfy the standard specification of Highways.
