INT. THE OVERLOOK HOTEL. HALLWAY -

DAY

LONG SHOT - CAMERA 1 - FOLLOW

DANNY is seen riding his tricycle near the far end of the
hallway. He takes a right turn.
CONTINUE SHOT A COUPLE SECONDS.

MEDIUM SHOT SHOT - CAMERA 1 - FOLLOW

Suddenly, as he rides past a sharp corner, he's confronted by
two young girls, holding hands at the far side of the hallway.
He STOPS.

BCU - CAMERA 2 - FOCUS

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 1

GIRL 1 & GIRL 2:

Hello, Danny.

BCU - CAMERA 2 - FOCUS

DANNY remains still. Hold shot on DANNY.
GIRL 1 & GIRL 2:
Come and play with

us.

DANNY remains still. Keep HOLDING on DANNY.

MID SHOT - CAMERA 1

GIRL 1 & GIRL 2:

Come and play with us, Danny.

MID SHOT - CAMERA 1

GIRL 1 & GIRL 2 are seen dead in the hallway, covered in
blood. An axe lay stranded, closest to the camera.

LONG SHOT - CAMERA 1

GIRL 1 & GIRL 2:

Forever.
Scene switches back again.

MID SHOT- CAMERA 1

BCU - CAMERA 2 - FOCUS

DANNY recoils in horror.

GIRL 1 & GIRL 2:

And Ever,
Back again to dead GIRL 1 & GIRL 2.

DANNY throws his hands to his face to block the sight.
Slowly he peeks through his fingers.

LONG SHOT - CAMERA 1 - AERIAL

GIRL 1 & GIRL 2 have gone.

BCU - CAMERA 2 - FOCUS

DANNY slowly lowers his hands. Breaths.

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 1

BCU - CAMERA 2 - FOCUS

DANNY:
Tony, I'm scared.

Danny lifts his finger, frowns. TONY speaks through DANNY.

TONY:
Remember what Mr. Halloran said. It's
just like pictures in a book Danny. It
isn't real.

DANNY lowers his finger, and looks on with horror.

CUT TO:BLACK

THE OVERLOOK HOTEL - LATER

MEDIUM SHOT SHOT - CAMERA 1 - FOLLOW

JACK limps in hallway towards Torrance's Apartment.

EXT. THE BATHROOM - LATER

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 3

WENDY struggles to get outside. The window is frozen stuck and
she cannot fit through.

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 4

DANNY watches NERVOUSLY from below, having been small enough
to escape successfully.

INT. THE OVERLOOK HOTEL

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 1 - FOLLOW

JACK limps through the living room, into the bedroom.

INT. THE BATHROOM

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 2

WENDY reattempts to open and climb through the window, but to
no avail.

EXT. THE BATHROOM

EYE LEVEL - CAMERA 1

JACK stops at the bathroom door.
KNOCKS, and waits.

Tries the door handle,

EXT. THE BATHROOM - LATER

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 3

WENDY:
Danny. I can't get out!

EWS - CAMERA 4

WENDY:
Run! Run and hide! Quick!

DANNY runs away from the house.

INT. THE BEDROOM

EYE LEVEL - CAMERA 1

JACK:
Little pigs, little pigs, let me come
in.

INT. THE BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 2 - FOLLOW

WENDY picks up a knife from the kitchen sink, and positions

herself in the corner.

INT. THE BEDROOM - FOLLOW

JACK:
Not by the hair on you chinny, chin
chin?
Then i'll huff, and i'll puff.

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 1

JACK positions himself slowly ready to swing his axe.
JACK:
And i'll blow your house in!

MEDIUM SHOT SHOT - CAMERA 1 - PAN

JACK swings his axe towards the door. Each hit gradually
destroys the panel.
WENDY screams from inside the bathroom.

INT. BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS

MID SHOT - CAMERA 3

WENDY is seen cowering in the corner, a knife held limply in
her hand in self-defence. She cries as she watches the axe
emerge through the splintering wood of the door.
WENDY:
No!

WENDY:
Please!

WENDY:
No!

WENDY:
Stop!

WENDY continues to scream incoherent words in terror.

MCU - CAMERA 2
Show JACK swinging axe face- on.

INT. THE BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 1

JACK looks through the panel, into the bathroom at WENDY.

INT. THE BATHROOM - CONTINUOUS

CU- CAMERA 2

JACK:
Here's Johnny!

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 2

WENDY hyperventilates and panics.

CU- CAMERA 2
JACK reaches through the broken door, and grasps the key.

CU - CAMERA 2
CLOSE-UP OF HAND.

MEDIUM SHOT - CAMERA 2

Before he can turn it though, WENDY swings her knife.

CU- CAMERA 2
SHOT OF HAND.
The knife slices JACK's hand.

CU- CAMERA 2
JACK pulls his hand away in shock and pain, Backing away
temporarily.
