Scientific Paper, July 2014 NURAINI BAKARA xvi + 52 pages + 9 tables + 2 + 5 images attachments AGE AND PARITY RELATIONSHIP WITH POSTPARTUM HEMORRHAGE IN RSB PERMATA HATI METRO CITY YEAR 2013 ABSTRACT Background: Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is one of the indicators to see the health status of women. Indonesia's maternal mortality rate 359 / 100,000 live births in 2012 the direct causes of maternal deaths are haemorrhage is the largest (30%). Factors that cause the occurrence of postpartum hemorrhage that maternal age, grandemultipara (parity), distance delivery <2 years, when uri aid prematurely, delivery assistance by a shaman, with the action of forced labor, delivery by narkosa. Objective: to know age and parity relationship with the incidence of postpartum haemorrhage in RSB Permata Hati Mertr City in 2013. Method: Qualitative research with design analytical and cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all women giving birth in RSB Permata Hati Metro City in 2013, amounting to 1,321 women giving birth, while as many as 307 samples taken birthing mothers with simple random sampling technique. The analysis is univariate and bivariate frequency distribution using the chi square test. Results: The distribution of the frequency of occurrence of postpartum hemorrhage, maternal as much as 20.52%, maternal age on the risk as much as 19.87%, the risk of maternal parity as much as 32.25%. There was an association with maternal age incidence of postpartum hemorrhage with p value: 0.000. There is a maternal parity relationship with the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage with p value: 0.001 Conclusion: There is a relationship of parity, maternal age and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, so it is advisable to the RSB Permata Hati to conduct a more intensive treatment in women who have risk factors for postpartum hemorrhage and to improve health promotion through counseling pregnant women about the danger signs pregnancy and the risk of pregnancy with postpartum hemorrhage and the suggestion to perform routine antenatal care so that mothers can prevent postpartum hemorrhage during labor.
