Industrial Visit to Bangalore

Introduction:
An unforgettable experience of six days, full of
enthusiasm, energy and enlightenment would be the
best suiting description for the Industrial Visit 2008
organized

by

our

semester,

gathered

of
it
an

overwhelming
response

from

the

first year and second year BMS students. It was

planned to visit the industrial area of Bangalore and
Mysore. Thus, a pleasantly cold night of 15 February
saw all the eager voyagers setting out on their
journey to Bangalore in train. Accompanied by three
college professors, namely Mr. Ishwar Patel; Ms.
Aruna. Patel and Ms. Parvati Soneji

At around 9:00 PM,
we

reached

the

Bangalore station. Two buses were ready for us to

take to hotel. we reached at hotel at around 9.30 pm
. Hotel swagat seemed to be a perfect choice to
relax at, with beautiful lawn all around. Then on 18 th
morning we left Bangalore to reach Mysore and
there we took a halt in Hotel President. During

Industrial Visit to Bangalore

these days we were also taken for sightseeing and
shopping.
Now comes the main introduction regarding the
industrial visit which was our main purpose to visit
Bangalore and Mysore. The industries require the
best talent and the university should provide it. In
the present, curriculum of Management Education
there is a gap existing between the universities and
the industries. And industrial visits are minimizing
this gap by acting as a bridge between them.
Industrial

visits

are

very

important

for

every

management student as it provides as clear picture

to the managers in the making who have the zeal for
a bright future.
Industrial visits provide vital information about the
organization,

its

performances

and

various

functioning process of the organization. It also

enables

to

understand

the

internal

working

environment. As organizational behaviour is a part

of the management, it is necessary for a manager to

Industrial Visit to Bangalore

understand and get accustomed to the atmosphere
of the organization. As a part of it, we, the first and
second year BMS students of Burhani College went
for our Industrial visit to AMRUT DISTILLERIES
which is located in Bangalore and MYSORE SANDAL
SOAP LIMITED located in Mysore
We visited these two industries and there we learnt
a lot about the Industry, its origin, its recent trends
and

clarified

our

queries

with

the

working

employees in an interactive session. As it is a giant

organization it provided a wide scope for us to learn
about various Industrial practices, which take place
in these industries.
