INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS
1. This assignment contains only TWO (2) tasks that are set in the language of the printed module
for the course.
2. Answer in English.
3. Download the language version of the assignment template concerned from the myINSPIRE for
preparation and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point
Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing.
4. Do not copy the assignment question and instructions to your answer. Only assignment answer
developed within the approximate word limit will be assessed. The number of words should be
shown at the end of your assignment.
5. You must submit your assignment TO YOUR FACE-TO-FACE TUTOR. You are advised to
keep a copy of your submitted assignment for personal reference.
6. Your assignment must be submitted before 12th March 2017 or Tutorial 4. Submission after 12th
March 2017 or Tutorial 4 will NOT be accepted.
7. Your assignment should be prepared individually. You should not copy another persons
assignment. You should also not plagiarise another persons work as your own.
8. Please take note that PENALTY will be imposed on late submission of assignment as specified in
the Registrars Office circular 6/2012 (Refer to Registrars Announcement in myVLE).

EVALUATION
This assignment accounts for 30% of the total marks for the course and shall be assessed
based on the Rubrics or Answer Scheme attached.
You would be given feedback on the assignment before the Final Semester Examination
commences.

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
PURPOSE
This assignment is divided into two categories;
a) a written assignment; and
b) an oral presentation.
The purpose of this assignment is to develop learners writing ability and apply specific skills
that are required in an oral presentation.

QUESTION:
A. WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT (20 Marks)
You have been asked to speak to a group of young employees at your organization. As a
Training Manager, your task is to inform the young employees about the various selfdevelopment programs that are offered at your organization. You also want to persuade them
to continually strive towards improving themselves in terms of gaining knowledge and
contributing towards the betterment of the organization.
Write your speech of between 2000-2500 words. Each point should be elaborated with
significant examples.

B. ORAL PRESENTATION (10 Marks)


1. You need to prepare 8 -10 MS PowerPoint slides based on the content of your paper
(written assignment) for a 10 minute talk (oral presentation).
2. Use phrases rather than whole sentences to write the text of your slides. Use
numbered/bulleted lists to organize and present main/supporting ideas on a given slide.
3. Make your slides visually interesting by using suitable colors for the background and
embedded symbols and pictures if appropriate.

TUJUAN
Tugasan ini terbahagi kepada dua kategori;

Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk membangunkan kebolehan menulis pelajar dan
menggunakan kemahiran tertentu yang diperlukan dalam persembahan lisan.
SOALAN:
A. BERTULIS TUGASAN (20 Markah)
Anda telah diminta untuk bercakap dengan sekumpulan pekerja muda di organisasi anda.
Sebagai Pengurus Latihan, tugas anda adalah untuk memaklumkan kepada pekerja muda
mengenai pelbagai program pembangunan diri yang ditawarkan di organisasi anda. Anda juga
mahu meyakinkan mereka untuk berusaha secara berterusan ke arah meningkatkan diri
mereka dari segi mendapat pengetahuan dan menyumbang ke arah kebaikan organisasi.
Tulis ucapan anda antara 2000-2500 patah perkataan. Setiap titik harus dihuraikan dengan
