ABSTRACT

The study aimed to introduce a new innovation called Smart Ruler to


students, who are taking up drawing, surveying, structural and architectural
subjects, to address their problems on their measuring devices such as
accuracy, efficiency, reliability, etc. This paper shows the features and the
materials used in the Smart Ruler which is a very critical information for the
participants to know about the product. A survey was conducted to know
how the product innovation could cater the needs of the students. The
survey was conducted on 50 students with different field of study and aging
from 13-24 years old. Each of the participants was asked some questions
that would help the study on what they thought about the Smart Ruler. The
results of the survey showed that the participants were greatly impressed on
the product innovation and thought that this will help others to ease their
problems in their measuring devices.

SUMMARY

This paper introduced the new innovation called Smart Ruler to


students, who are taking up drawing, surveying, structural and architectural
subjects, to address their problems on their measuring devices such as
accuracy, efficiency, reliability, etc. This paper shows the features and the
materials used in the Smart Ruler which is a very critical information for the
participants to know about the product. This contains the survey conducted
to know how the product innovation could cater the needs of the students
with regards to their measuring devices. Graphs were presented to illustrate
the statistical data of each of the questions that will support the study on
what the students thought about the Smart Ruler. The results showed that
the participants were greatly impressed on the product innovation and
thought that this will help others to ease their problems in their measuring
devices.
