CONTRACTOFEMPLOYMENTPOSITIONOFTEACHER
WHEREAS,_________ACADEMYisuniqueinthatitisRomanCatholicandiscommittedtomaintainin
theframeworkofCatholicprincipleshigheducationalstandards;and,
WHEREAS,itisthepolicyof______AcademytoemployhighlyqualifiedteacherswhosupporttheCatholic
programinpursuitofsuchhigheducationalstandards;
_____________ACADEMY(hereinaftercalledtheSCHOOL)andTeacherName(hereinaftercalledthe
TEACHER)agreetothefollowingconditionsofemployment.
1.

ThetermofthisagreementisAugust15,2015untilJune15,2016.

2.

TheTEACHERagreestoservetheSCHOOLforthenumberofdaysintheofficial
schoolcalendarandtoperformotherdutiesassignedbytheadministrator;andtowork
cooperativelywiththestaff,facultyandadministrationoftheSCHOOL.

3.

TheTEACHERshalldevoteareasonableamountofoutofclasstimetocurriculumdevelop
ment,tosponsoringstudentactivities,andtootherdutiesasassignedbytheadministrator.

4.

ItisfurthermutuallyagreedthattheSCHOOLshalloffertheTEACHERanewcontractof
employmentfortheensuingyearonorbeforeApril1,2017,unlesstheSCHOOLgivesthe
TEACHERwrittennoticeofitsintentionnottoreemploytheTEACHERonorbeforeMarch
15,2017.

5.

TheTEACHERmaybesuspendedordischargedforgoodcauseasshallbedeterminedinthe
exclusivediscretionoftheBoardofTrustees.Itisspecificallyunderstoodthatgoodcausefor
dischargeshallincludebutnotbelimitedto:inadequacyofteaching,misconduct,neglectof
duty,physicalormentalincapacity,actionsinvolvingmoralturpitude,violationofthetermsof
thisagreementor_____Academypolicy,oranyconductnotinkeepingwiththeCatholicFaith
orconducttendingtoreflectdiscreditupontheschoolortendingtoimpairtheTEACHERS
usefulnessinhiscapacityasateacher.

6.

TheSCHOOLemploystheTEACHERasanemployeeoftheSCHOOLatasalaryandbene
fitsinaccordancewithaddendum#1.SalarypaymentsshallbeginAugust31,2015.Theywill
continueonthe15thandlastdayofeachmonthtotheendoftheemploymentyear,June15 th

7.

Itisagreedthattheconditionsofthiscontractshallonlybechangedbymutualwritten
agreementoftheTEACHERandtheSCHOOL.Thisisthesoleagreementbetweenthe
partiesandnootherrepresentations,betheyoralorwritten,arebindingbetweentheparties.
Californialawshallgovernthisagreementinitsperformanceandinterpretation.

Salary:

TheSCHOOLemploystheTEACHERatanannualsalaryof$xx,xxxpayableoverten
monthsattherateof$x,xxx.xxpermonth.
Salarypaymentsshallbemadeonthe15thandlastdayofthemonthbeginningAugust31,
2016.ThefinalpaymentshallbeJune15,2017.

Benefits: TheSCHOOLwillprovidegrouphealthanddentalplans.TheSCHOOLwillcontribute
uptoPHP15,000permonthtowardthepremiumofthehealthplan.TheTEACHERwill
providetheremainderofthehealthplanpremiumforthecoveragechosenbythe
TEACHER.ThedentalplanisavailabletotheTEACHERonlyifheelectstoreceivethe
healthplanbenefit.TheSCHOOLwillcontributetheentiredentalplanpremiumforthe
TEACHERalone.TheTEACHERwillprovidetheremainderofthedentalplanpremium
forthecoveragechosenbytheTEACHERifspouseordependentcoverageiselected.
TheSCHOOLhasa401(k)investmentprogramwhichallowstheTEACHERtoinvestin
aretirementplanafteraninitialwaitingperiod.TheSCHOOLwillmatch50centstothe
withasetlimitationuptotwothousanddollars.
TheSCHOOLprovidestheattachedlistofholidays.
