The Occupier

Dear Sir/Madam,
Gelynis Farm Footbridge.
I am pleased to inform you that the City of Cardiff Council will be undertaking
Highway Improvement Works to Gelynis Farm Footbridge.
The construction works have been programmed to start on the 20th February
2017 with an anticipated duration of 3 weeks.
The proposed improvement works to be undertaken include:

The removal of the existing timber walkway and parapets.

The reconstruction of a replacement pedestrian footway system, using
GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) which will provide a more durable
construction. The walkway will be widened from 0.9 to 1.5m and the
parapets will be raised to 1.8m high adjacent to the water main, and
1.4m high to the northern face of the bridge.

These works will need a temporary closure of the footbridge. During this time
a certain amount of disruption is likely to occur, but every effort will be made to
keep this to a minimum.
Should you have any queries, please contact James Bradley or Tony Williams
at County Hall on (029) 22330966/22330967, or for construction enquiries,
please contact Andrew Marsh on (029) 22330114.
This letter is available in Welsh / Maer ddogfen hon ar gael yn Gymraeg
Yours faithfully,

James Bradley
