Background:
Once, Cager had a wife and two darling girls. Once, he had a prosperous farm near Coffin Rock, Wyoming. Once,
Cager had something to live for; now, he only has something to die for.
His life ended one horrific night five years ago when he returned from town to discover his wife and youngest
daughter slaughtered in their beds. His eldest daughter, Clara, was missing. All the doors and windows were barred.
Cager tried to track whoever--whatever--had abducted his daughter, but the tracks disappeared on a cliff at Fell Creek
Canyon, as if whoever was carrying her had simply leaped across. This had been no human attacker.
Devastated and full of rage, Cager remained on that cliff for six days and six nights, praying to Almighty God for the
power to smite the forces of Satan. On the seventh dawn, he was visited by the archangel Apollyon who declared him
a "Locust." Apollyon imbued him with the Might of Abaddon and charged him with hunting down incarnate demons.
He also commanded him to forget Clara, who was lost to the Enemy.
Cager has been roaming the West ever since, confronting and destroying demons in whatever form he finds them. He
has not, however, forgotten Clara.
Worst Nightmare:
Cager's worst nightmare is that he will find Clara, but that she will be unable to save her.
Holy/Unholy Warrior
As an action, a priest or other holy person may call upon his chosen deity to repulse supernaturally evil creatures,
such as the undead, demons, and the like. It also works on evil characters with the Arcane Background (Miracles)
Edge.
Repulsing evil costs 1 Power Point and has a range of the characters Spirit. Targeted creatures within that range
must make a Spirit roll. Failure means the creature is Shaken; a 1 means it is destroyed. Wild Cards suffer an
automatic Wound instead.
A character may also be an Unholy Warrior working for the forces of evil. In this case, he repulses good
creatures, such as angels, paladins, or good characters with Arcane Background (Miracles).
