DESCRIPTION
This course studies about modeling and analyzing single and multiple degrees of
freedom systems. Response to forcing functions. Vibrations of machine
elements. Design vibration isolation systems. Balance rotating machinery.
Random excitation and response of mechanical structures.
Prerequisite: EGME 205, EGME 308, EGCE 302.

(A+) >100, (A) 90-100, (B) 80-89, (C)70-79, (D) 60-69, (E)<59
10 homework/ 8 quizzes (10%), final project (20%), 2 midterms (40%) and final
exam (30%)
Final exam score can replace the lowest midterm if final exam is higher.
Otherwise, if final exam score is lower than the previous two midterms,
grading is as above.
8 quizzes, but only 6 counts toward grade; lowest 2 are dropped.
EXTRA CREDIT
Extra credit of up to 5 points will be added to your final total for filling out
end-of-class daily reflections on your Most Interesting Point (MIP) and your
Muddiest Point (MP) for each class. Your comments are anonymous and will
be input on TITANium. Each entry is worth 1/2 of a point, so 10 reflections will
give that maximum extra credit of 5 points.
