Scenario 1
National Library organises an essay writing competition and you have decided to write an essay to take
part in the competition. The topic of the essay you have decided to write is Organizational structure and
culture. The essay requires you to analyse one domestic and one overseas company to compare the
structure and culture of both companies and then evaluate the relationship between structure and culture
on its impact on performance of the organization.
Task 1
You are required to;
1. Analyze a domestic and overseas company
2. Write an essay in which you;

Compare and contrast different organizational structures and culture of the two selected organizations

Explain how relationship between an organizations structure and culture can impact on the
performance of the business (P1.2)
Compare the effectiveness of different leadership styles in two selected organizations (P2.1)
