Shannon has played Cello for seven years and goes above and beyond what is
expected in the classroom. She has auditioned for the East Tennessee Band and
Orchestra Associations All-East Senior Clinic Orchestra, which takes extensive
preparation outside of our required Orchestra repertoire. She has participated in
several Knox County Schools Honors Orchestra Events and has volunteered her time
to help with Orchestra functions outside of school. Shannon has shown her
dedication to Orchestra by being in the program for all eight semesters at Bearden,
and still maintaining a rigourous academic schedule.
It is truly a blessing to be able to work with a student like Shannon. She always
works hard to achieve her goals and constantly practices her instrument to prepare
for class and performances. I am certain that whatever path Shannon chooses after
high school she will continue to be dedicated to her education and will be an asset
to any collegiate program of study!
