Honors Geometry 9
9-24-20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
[then] I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me. Revelations 3:20
By looking at this bible verse, there is a hypothesis and a conclusion. In Honors geometry
we are learning about conditionals. Conditionals are if then statements. By looking at this
bible verse we can clearly see that it is an if then statement. Now, after you identify the
hypothesis, anyone hears my voice and opens the door, and the conclusion, I will enter
his house and dine with him, and he with me, you can then rearrange them to make the
converse, inverse, and contrapositive of the true statement.
The conditional of the Bible verse is true because Jesus is saying that if anyone hears my
voice when I knock on the door then he will come into the house and dine with you. The
converse of this bible verse would be, If I enter the house and dine with him, then he heard my
voice. This converse is true because if Jesus is dining with them, then someone would have had
to open the door. The inverse is, If anyone does not hear my voice and not open the door, then I
will not enter the house and dine with him. The inverse is also true because if no one is able to
open the door for Jesus to come in, then he is un able to dine with them. Last but not least is the
contrapositive, If I do not enter his house and dine with him, then he did not hear my voice and
open the door. This statement is true because, again, if Jesus is not dining with them, then no one
opened the door to let Him come in.

I believe that this bible verse really stands out because it explains what we are all called
to do in our everyday life. For example, the bible verse is saying that if you hear we when I nock
on the door then you should open it so we can dine together. This is an example of how we have
to live or lives. This verse is saying that if I God comes to us, we always have to accept him into
our heart and be prepared for what he is going to say. But if we do not hear his voice when he is
calling us, then we are unable to hear his words, just like if you do not open the door, Jesus
cannot dine with you.
