telecomms available readily almost everywhere.
It has a very diverse cultural mix and people of most races and cultures
will find people of their own background.
It has a very generous health and social security system that provides
medical support and housing readily to immigrants.
The weather is milder than you might think.
Free education till 18. Even for foreign kids
UK is expensive (like Japan, but more so), and exchange rates mean that
foreign currency doesn't go very far. Dollars are loose change at today's
exchange rates.

It has become increasingly paranoid about terrorism and is a police state

in many ways.
The infrastructure outside the major conurbations is poor to non-existent
and within the cities violence and drunkenness is on the increase.
The social programmes are very expensive and the taxation system is
fairly severe and getting worse.
The weather is very changeable and can upset those used to a hot dry
country.
The hospitals are not always as clean as they should be.

1. Relative freedom of speech.
2. Relatively high standard of living.
3. Relatively culturally free.
4. Cheap fuel.
5. The beer: one of the most active micro-brew industries in the world.
Cons US
1. Looked upon as the world's bully, and mistrusted by much of the world.
2. Insular and self-absorbed and frighteningly ignorant of the rest of the

world as a whole.
3.....yet wants to control much of that world, especially rescources.
4. Crappy cars, the Big Three don't export much, and for good reason:
there is nothing much worth exporting. We Aussies build better cars.
5. The food. It's a personal choice. There is much good and much bad,
same as here.
6. The politics. Same as everywhere else, I guess.
7. They drive on the wrong side of the road. Had to put that in.
8. The accents.....but you might like them: stranger things have
happened.
9. Conspiracy theories. Most come from here..
