s the spring flows...

Thats how Im supposed to start
this bit. It refers to the bountiful
beautiful little spring we are blessed
to have on the land that flows and
feeds Faerieland.
Wellthis is my first faerie-gram.
Goodness. Pressure.
Im just gonna quickly bang one
out.
Rude.
Call me slap-dash, hap-hazard,
helter-skelter,
slip-shod,
willynilly.
Or call me Beans your stand-inwinter-Editor!
Its been a super busy few months
on the land. After a ten-month stay
helping care for the sanctuary,
Pappillon has moved on to Sydney
to start art school! He made a huge
contribution while he was with us,
working on the verandah extension
and roof repairs, mowing and
brushcutting and caring for the
land. I (that would be Beans)
wandered back through the gates in
April to spend some more time in
service on the land. Anand has
started a new career in pastoral
care for hospital patients in
Brisbane, so hes with us part time
on the land these days. Weve had a
great Wwoof-er, Matteo, who was
!

with us for about three weeks

working in the garden, on the
Monkey Terrace, building, fixing,
weeding and cooking with the other
on-the-land Faeries. Phoenix has
been visiting for a few days each
week
shelling
mountains
of
macadamias. Teacosy returned for a
few days after his three-month
Melbourne adventure, and as I write
hes heading off for a month in Alice
Springs.
Our new straw-bale greenhouse is
nurturing early tomatoes and basil
(under Spidercuties guidance), and
we are just coming to the end of a
bumper citrus crop so much
lovely juice! We are blessed with
bountiful greens from Gryffins
garden, the new enclosed foodgrowing area is thriving under
Chameleons care, and Anands
Agapanthus have been divided and
tended to in preparation for
November blooms. Phase and I are
about to start work on some new
composting toilets for the summer
gathering, and continuing work on
the building in Hogs Hollow.
Gorgeous
winter
weather
(27
degrees last week!) makes this the
perfect time of year for getting out
and getting busy on the land.

rocess
work
Weve had two gorgeous Saturdays
over the last few months in Byron
with Vicky, Sue and Sananda
guiding us through rich and
productive process work sessions.
Fourteen faeries took part in both
sessions. Would you like to join us
for the last one this month? Heres
the blurb:
Do you wanna explore Faerie
community relationships?
Come and learn Process work
Saturday August 13th
10:00am 1:00pm
Byron Bay
Process work is one way to
investigate group dynamics. Check
out the link here.
Stuff like working with conflict and
diversity.
Imagine
a
Faerie
community that could open itself to
the great challenges that will
continue to face us living and
creating together. Imagine us
honing skills that would help us to
create this future together.
Cost Sliding scale $10 - $30 per
session, depending on what you can
afford.
Please make contact and have a
chat with Phase, Anand or Beans if
youd like to attend (66897070). Itll
give us an idea of numbers, and we
could talk about what to expect,
car-pooling, directions to venue,
more info, etc.

Gathering Pavilion committee in
early July (Sugar, Phase, Beans, Ix,
Treasure, Mellow Cotton, Forest,
Phoenix,

A
fundraising
committee was formed and they
have already begun work. Lots of
great ideas, and plenty of jobs to
move forward with!
The next planning meeting for
manifesting the gathering pavilion
at Faeryland is on Saturday 20th
August at Faerieland. See you at
Faerieland. Where is it you ask?
Faeryland. Come along it doesnt
matter if you missed the first

2015!

Usually once a year, we seem to do

this Blue Moon Cabaret thing. A
bunch of us get together and cook all
day at Faerieland, and another bunch
of us get together and go to the Blue
Moon Cabaret in Nimbin to feed the
audience! Its a great little fundraiser.
This time the intention is to raise
some funds to support some more
community process work training.
How can you help? Come along to
Faerieland for the day and help us
cook, come along to Nimbin in the
evening and hwelp us serve, and/or
bake a fabulous desert for us to sell
on the night. Im focalising this one
(thats fancy fae language for making
it happen) so give me a shout if
youd like to help out..ooh accidental rhyme joy! jhjhjskjhdhdsjh
