Study the survey map of India, sheet number 45D/10 and answer the
following:
i. Give the 6-figure grid reference of- a) Temple at Dak (north of the map)
b) PO at Dattani (south
of the map)
ii. Which is the most commonly used map-scale? Define it.
iii). Is the region uniformly well developed? Give reasons for your answer.
iv). What does the following mean- a) 20r in grid 1203 and b) brown lines in
grid 1208.
v). On which bank of Devangan Nadi is the village Dak situated? Give the
longitudinal extent of the map extract.
vi). Give the drainage patterns for rivers in grids- a) 1606 and b) 1708.
vii). Measure the length of the metaled road from Pipliya (17 milestone) to
Vajna Police Chauki. Give your answer in kms.
viii). Identify and explain the most commonly used and important map-scale.
ix). What is the mode of irrigation in the area. Give reasons for your answer
