The objectives of the development of the discipline


The working program on discipline "Theoretical Grammar" prepared in accordance with the
requirements of the educational standard of higher professional education 44.03.05 direction
"Teacher education (with two training profiles)" is part of the federal component of the special
disciplines and is mandatory for the study. The work program includes a plan to consistently
disclosed the lecture course, the definition of the main categories of the theoretical discipline, as
well as the most important characteristics of the target language Lingvostilistichesky.
The main objective of the course is to provide theoretical grammar comprehensive description of
the grammatical structure of modern English language, the introduction of the students into the
problems of modern grammatical studies and methodology of theoretical analysis of linguistic
material.
Tasks of the discipline:
- Theoretically illuminate the basics of the grammatical structure of modern English language
with the latest research in this area, to develop in students a clear understanding of the systemic
nature of language and its dynamic device;
- Introduce students to the basic problems of modern scientific paradigm systemic-functional and cognitive-discursive;
- The study of new methods of linguistic analysis related to the consideration of phenomena
the language in the various modern linguistic doctrines, such as the theory of speech acts,
pragmatics, cognitive science, etc .;
- Develop the students' academic critical thinking, develop skills of critical analysis of the
various points of view on the complex problems of grammatical theory and the ability to
formulate their own point of view, as well as observation skills on actual material and its
description on the basis of application of modern methods and techniques of linguistic research.

Acquaintance of students with the most important works of domestic and foreign linguists on
specific issues of the theory of English grammar; development of students' ability to
independently process the current scientific information;
- Formation of students' scientific understanding of the formal and semantic structure units and
means of forming the grammatical structure of the English language, of their functioning in the
text;
- Systematization of the theoretical framework of the regulatory knowledge of English grammar,
acquired by students in previous years on the practical training;
- Familiarization with the stylistic features of the use of units of morphology and syntax,
comprehension of the processes of interaction of grammatical and lexical factors.

Forming students' ideas about the grammatical structure of the English language as a system,
which is closely associated with the whole cycle of theoretical subjects. In the process of
teaching the course are carried out interdisciplinary communication with courses of general
linguistics, theoretical phonetics, lexicology, history of language, style. The main task of the
application of theoretical grammar course is to foster in students skills of successful
communication, so a constant relationship is carried out with a practical course of English
grammar and practical, allowing you to introduce students to the problems of modern
grammatical research and the methodology of scientific analysis of the grammatical material.

As a result of the development of the discipline formed the following competencies:


the ability to communicate orally and in writing in Russian and foreign languages to meet the
challenges of interpersonal and intercultural communication.

Know:
- Basic theoretical position of English grammar, form the basis of theoretical and practical
training of specialists in this field;
- Considered the essence of grammatical phenomena, clearly substantiate their point of view,
- The recommended scientific literature in English, highlight key theoretical positions,
- Grammatical features of the means used to achieve certain communicative tasks.

As a result of studying the course "Theoretical Grammar" the student should be able to:
- To work with scientific literature, critically evaluate different scientific concepts,
comparing the point of view of scientists on the problems of theoretical grammar;
- To explain the most important typical phenomena in the grammatical system of modern
English;
- To put into practice in the process of intercultural communication, the theoretical knowledge
and methods of grammatical analysis,
- Compare the grammatical system of the English language with native and other foreign
languages;

- To carry out a grammatical analysis of the specific language material to work with scientific
literature; ;
- Put the research agenda and to find scientific methods to solve them.
- Apply the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in the process of intercultural
communication.

- The skills to participate in scientific discussions;
- The skills to participate in the development and implementation of various types of projects,
which are the subject of a discipline.
This discipline contributes to the formation of the following knowledge and skills,
provided by SES of HPE theoretical grammar to learn a foreign language;
- Is able to work with the basic information retrieval systems, knowledge representation on the
problems of theoretical grammar, grammatical information processing systems;
- Knows how to use the achievements of domestic and foreign theoretical grammar, modern
concepts for its problems, formulate and resolve linguistic problems in this area and make the
correct grammatical conclusions.
