E-Work Order Monitoring System

Abstract
The Project entitled E-Work Order Monitoring System is a web based application
software which has been designed and developed by using Microsoft Visual Studio Dot Net
2010 as front end tool and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 as back end tool.

Geometric Engineering Solutions is a growing & leading company in engineering service

providers, located in coimbatore-INDIA, established in June 2000, with a wide goal to fulfill
our customer requirements right from Design to Manufacturing.

The proposed system has been designed in order to improve productivity by continuous
technological up gradation and on time delivery, continuous development of the quality of the
products and its production process and adequate education and training of people at all
levels.

The proposed system has been designed with five major modules such as

1. Planning Department
2. Production Department
3. Fettling Department
4. Mould Wrapping Department
5. Gaantt Analysis Chart

The planning department allocate the work based on the order produced by the
customer. Here the work has been assigned based on the number of workers present,
production capacity per day, eletricity power availability and other reasons. Once the
work assigned to the production department, the production team complete the day task
and the completed product move to the fettling department. In the fettling department, the
workers clean the rough edges of a metal casting and shot blasting process are done here.
After that, the product move to the mould wrapping department where the product has
been furnished with metal coating and move to despatch unit. In addition, the Gaantt chart
has been prepared for easy view of management. So that the management can view the
statistics of the work order day wise, month wise and selected period wise.

The project has been developed mainly for the management support in order to reduce
their work burden.
