Sika Pocket Grout (BBCD)

Non-shrink grout

Description Sika Pocket Grout (BBCD) is a non-shrink, flowing, cementitious low heat
grout with extended working time to suit local ambient temperatures.

Applications Sika Pocket Grout (BBCD) is suitable for the following grouting works :
- Grouting of pre - placed aggregate, structural repair of larger cavities
- Pressure grouting of formed - up smaller structural repairs
- Low heat grouting applications
- Anchor bolt pockets
- Grouting in marine environment
- Gravity grouting of cavities,gaps,recesses,etc.
- Production of micro bore piles

Advantages - Good flowability

- Good dimensional stability
- High strengths, Adjustable consistency
- No Bleeding
- Non toxic, non corrosive
- Ready and easy to use
- Economical
- Low hydration heat

Coverage Approx. 2 kg of powder for one litre of mortar.

Instruction for Use

Surface preparation Concrete surfaces should be clean, sound and free from oil, greases,
laitance and loose particles.
Metal surfaces (iron and steel) should be free from scale, rust, oil and grease.
Absorbent substrates must be saturated throughly, but no standing
water.

Mixing Powder should be added to the pre-gauged water to suit the desired
consistency.
14 - 15% by weight of Sika Pocket Grout (BBCD) is recommended to be
used.
Mix mechanically with a low speed drill (max.500 RPM) with a disc
agitator attached, until a smooth, even consistency is achieved.

Application Pour mortar after mixing. Ensure, that air entrapped into the grout is allowed
escape. Sika Pocket Grout (BBCD) is not recommended for base plate
grouting. Make sure, that necessary formwork is firmly in place and
watertight.
Cleaning Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
Hardened mortar can only be mechanically removed.
Important Use Sika Pocket (BBCD) - Grout for grouting
Min. gap 5 mm.
o
At temperatures lower than 20 C setting time and strength gain will be
slower. Normal curing practice should be observed for at least 3 days.
