Weather and Climate

People listen to and watch the weather forecast because they would like to decide what clothes to
wear, what to do in their free time. I always watch the weather forecasut in mornings, but the weather
sometimes changes very quickly or suddenly and what i have put on in the morning isnt appropriate
in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the weather forecasts are only rarely accurate. Hungary has a
moderate climate. There are 4 seasons.
If the weather is cold or rainy we have to take care of our clothes. We should take a coat or an
umbrella. Prevention is better than cure. Its better if we have to prepare for the bad weather
conditions. The accuracy of the weather reports are not always proper, but the experts are trying to
give their best knowledge to determine the breaking of the weather.
As Ive mentioned before the weather conditions influence our lives. Some people are really reactive
to it and have to watch the reports all the time. This way he/she could prepare for headache and sore
back or hip etc. Its different in every case what kind of problems weather can cause. For instance my
grandma always suffers from joint pain when theres a front coming. She needs more rest in these
times. In weather reports people are always warned if some kind of fronts coming. It also can cause
accidents on the roads unfortunately. We have to pay more attention for each other in these days.
Nowadays the main problems are the greenhouse effect, deforestation, rivers being diverted, dams
being built, erosion, rapid consumption of resources and commodities, and pollution of air and water.
The most important consequence of the greenhouse effect is the warming of the earth which causes
climate changes and melts polar icecaps The ozone layer can be protected only by international
cooperation. People should stop producing and using harmful products that damage the ozone layer.
The melting of the polar caps results in the rising sea-levels. It will flood populated areas and
agricultural land.
Like Venice, Amsterdam is connected by a series of inland waterways: as sea levels these too will
swell putting the low-lying city at risk. Amsterdam has, its estimated, about 150 years above water
before it becomes another Atlantis.
As we contaminate our environment the climate changes as well. The ozone layer is depleting and it
causes global warming because it doesnt have the capability to absorb the harmful sunlight. Theres a
warming blanket in our atmosphere as well, so the harmful gases are absorbed and cant leave. This
phenomenon causes the greenhouse effect and the global warming as well. . Global warming means
the increase in the worlds temperatures. The greenhouse effect and the depletion of the ozone layer
are believed to be its main causes. The global warming affects the flora and the fauna as well. As we
cut out the big trees and even forests we destroy the community who creates Oxygen using CO2. But
this is not the only problem. The animals place to live is shrinking. Some species are on the brink of
extinction and some of them become angry and attack the people nearby. Otherwise this process is
called urbanization. Of course theres still a huge where forests reign. That doesnt mean we can cut
the trees out one by one, because we are going to suffer from its consequences. Industrial pollution and
overexploitation of the forests must be drastically decreased. The seas are endangered by industrial
and other forms of pollution, such as oil spills from tankers and oil rigs. Most vehicles run on petrol or
gas. Recently car manufacturers have launched cars operating with electricity. There is research going
on how other energy sources, such as solar energy and water, could be used for running vehicles.
Almost everything can be recycled, like plastic bottles, paper, clothes, cans and metal. I think more
containers should be placed not only in towns but in villages.
In Hungary more and more regulations are enacted to protect wild animals. Both hunting and keeping
them are strictly regulated, so the situation is getting better
Hungary has a very good position. I mean there isnt blizzards, hurricans, earthquakes, volcano
eruptions, landslides. These natural disasters cause much harm in several countries like in Mexico and
the USA or Japan.
British weather is different from the Hungarian. The weather in Britian is very changeable and
unpredictable even from one day to the next. This is due to the influence of southwestern winds
blowing off the Atlantic and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream which modify the original temperate
climate of the country. British Isles lie between the Atlantic and The North Sea, so the climate is
oceanic. The United Kingdom has a temperate climate, with pletiful rainfall all year round. There are
more rainfalls, storms and stronger winds. Regional climates in the United Kingdom are influenced by
the Atlantic Ocean and latitude. Northern Ireland, Wales and western pard of England and Scotland
being closest to the Atlantic, are generally the mildest wettest and windiest regins of the UK, and
temperature ranges here are seldom extreme. Eastern areas are drier, cooler, less windy and also
experience the greatest daily and seasonal temperature variatons. Northern areas are generally cooler,
weeter and have a slight bigger temperature range than southern areas.
All in all, we really should think our moves over, because seeing the plants blooming in the middle of
winter may be a heartwarming feeling, but its 100% not natural and can be a warming sign from the
nature.
