Me, After 10 Years

Who am I after 10 years? My answer to that question is kind of clear. Unlike other
students of my age, I can see my future clearer. Why? Okay, lets begin my future timeline.

After 2 years, Im already a college student, an accountancy student. I can see

myself studying business mathematics and economics in a university in Manila. I will meet
more people with varied personalities and some teachers with harsh and soft characters.
Of course, I can still have time bonding with my classmates when I was here at Mt.
Carmel. Especially, most of us will study in Manila.

Fast forward, after 3 years, I am already reviewing for the board exam to be a
certified public accountant. And I have just finished a four year course, but my educational
life will not end yet, not yet. Accountancy is just my pre-law. So after 4 years of studying
accountancy, I will take another year for the board exam. And if I pass, thank God, but if I
fail, then will have to take another exam but I will proceed to law. So far I am already
consuming 6 years.

Law is just a four-year course, but before you take law, you should prove that you
have what it takes. You should prove to them that you are capable of doing heavy tasks
and a lot of readings. And in order to prove that you should take a four-year course and in
my case I took accountancy which will be very helpful because law has a lot of business
math cases and my knowledge on the subject area will greatly in affect my studies. That is
the reason I took accountancy. Another reason is because I want to be a CPA-lawyer
which really high in demand.

After 3 years, I have already read a lot of cases. I have already solved many cases
and debated with different kinds of people. Maybe I will be more aggressive in terms of
reasoning. I have already developed my debating skills, reasoning skills and judging skills.
Maybe during this time, Ive already met the one because Im already 26 years old, for
goodness sake!

Another year will pass and I can see myself happy and proud because I have
finished studying law, but I cannot call myself Attorney yet, not yet. I still have to take the
Bar Exam. So the review for the bar exam is 1 year and I will have to wait until next year to
see the result of the exams. So that is 11 years already. And this is the reason why I said I
can see my future clearer after 10 years cause Im still studying. Well thats alright. That is
life. You endure the pain at first and then after many years of torture there will be a great
delight, calling myself Attorney Aaron Villaflor. But if youre asking about who will I be after
my studies, I think I am already making a name in the field of law. I have a dream to be the
president of the Republic of the Philippines, so I will make my way to reach that aspiration.
As they say, You dont need to be great to get started. What you need is to get started so
that you will be GREAT!
