Rules & Regulations of Online Application

for B.Ed. Admission


1. Medium of instructions: Bengali/ English

2. The B.Ed. programme shall be of a duration of two academic sessions, which can be
completed in a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the programme.

3. 20% of the seats (for self-financed colleges) and 50% of the seats for the
WBUTTEPA (erstwhile David Hare Training College), will be reserved for Deputed
teachers of classes IX-XII. Deputed teachers mean the teachers serving as substantive
posts.

4. Eligibility:

o Candidates should be Graduates in a school subject from a recognized


university.

o Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree(General) /


or in the Master's Degree in School subjects are eligible to apply.

o Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with Science and/or Mathematics,


with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are also eligible
for admission. Such candidates are required to enter the marks of B.E/ B.
Tech. in the row of Honours Degree. M.E. / M. Tech result (if any) will be
entered in the Masters Degree row.

o Honours Graduates in school subject should enter the Honours marks only in
the row of Bachelors degree (Honours).

o In case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects


should be entered in the row of Bachelors degree (General).

o For candidates with less than 50% marks in the honours degree, the total
marks of pass and Honours subjects will be considered. If it becomes 50% or
more, that score will be entered in Graduation (General) row.

o For fresh candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school
subject based on scoring.

o For Deputed Candidates, merit list will be prepared separately for each school
subject based on length of service.

5. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PWD ( Minimum disability 40%)candidates will be as


per Govt. Rules. Relaxation of minimum qualifying marks will be as per Govt. rules.
The Reservation as stated is not applicable for Self-Financed Colleges.
6. School subjects of teaching offered are those which have been stated in the New
Curriculum of WBUTTEPA :

7. Admission procedure for B.Ed. Course (Fresh):


Admission will be on the basis of scores against marks obtained in qualifying
examinations and as per norms of University. Maximum Scores against marks for
different level of examinations will be as follows:

o i) Madhyamik/Equivalent Examination 20

o ii) Higher Secondary Examination 20

o iii) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (General/Pass) 20

o iv) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Honours) 30

o v) B.E./B.Tech. 30

o vi) M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. 30

9. For scoring in HS, the marks obtained in best five subjects excluding Environmental
Studies will be considered.

10. Deputed Teachers (as per NCTE norms) from recognized Secondary & Higher
Secondary School of West Bengal are eligible to apply.

For Deputed Candidates

Applicants deputed by School must submit an attested copy of M.C. resolution


recording the approval of Service in regard to his/her service with the form.

Following additional documents are required to be submitted positively on the day of


joining the B.Ed. programmes in institutions under the University:

1. Release order from the Headmaster / Headmistress.

2. Attested copy of M.C. resolution with regards to his/her deputation, countersigned by


D. I. of Schools (Secondary).

3. Certificate from Competent Authority whether the candidate teaches in Class IX or


above.

4. Three copies of passport size photographs of the applicant.

5. Deputation form duly filled in (available from the Institution after admission)

6. A certificate with the following information is to be submitted from the Secretary or


Headmaster/Headmistress (where he/she is serving) and counter signed by the D.I. of
Schools of the District concerned:

o Certified that the School is in receipt of aid on full/ deficit/ lumpsum grant
basis or that school in unaided or salary deficit scheme one.

o Certified that she/he is duly approved teacher.

o Certified that she/he is duly approved teacher.

o Certified that she/he is being deputed by the school for undergoing two year
B.Ed. Courses (2016-2018)

Candidates pursuing any other course in the WBUTTEPA or any other University during
2016-18 academic session are not eligible for admission to the B. Ed. programme for the
session 2016-18.

Application fee is Rs. 500/- for General candidates and Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates
Steps of Online Application for B.Ed. Programme

Please read the informations carefully before filling up your online application form.

Filling the Application Form:

1. Application for Online Admission starts from 23rd June, 2016 at 12.30pm and closes
on 30th June, 2016 at 11.59 pm.

2. Applicant should visit the home page of the WBUTTEPA Website & from there enter
through the "B.Ed. Online Application " link

3. The Application Form Submission is a 2 step process.

4. Applicant should fill the online form giving academic details (Step - 1) and personal
details (Step - 2).

5. The fields marked with a * are mandatory.

6. Applicant should upload scanned photograph and signature file. The files must be of
type jpeg or jpg and the size of photograph and signature must be within 110 K.B. and
50 K.B.

7. Please provide CAPTCHA for verification and check the checkbox to accept the
declaration.

8. After providing all mandatory details click on "Submit" to submit the application.

9. An Application I.D. and Password will be created & details will be displayed on the
screen.

10. NOTE: Modification is permitted till the payment verification. If the payment is
verified, applicants can't able to modify the application form further. So, before make
payment, ensure of all the information provided.

11. Applicants need to note down the Application I.D and Password.

12. Applicants can pay the amount online via "Pay Now" link on the Left Panel of the
Menu after 24 hours of form submission or modification.

13. After 24 hours of payment, once the payment is verified, Applicants can able to print
the Application Receipt.
Depositing the Payment :

1. Applicants should visit the https://www.onlinesbi.com/ Link for payment or via "Pay
Now" link on the Left Panel of the Menu after 24 hours of form submission or
modification.

2. Applicant should select 'SBI Bank Collect' from the menu.

3. On the 'SBI Bank Collect' page, the Applicant should click the Check Box at the end
of the Disclaimer Clause to proceed for payment ( I have read and accepted the

terms and conditions stated above).

4. In the next page, the applicant should select 'State of Corporate/Institution' (West
Bengal) and 'Type of Corporate/Institution' (Educational Institutions) from the drop
down Menu and click GO.

5. Next the Applicant should select from Educational Institutions name 'WBUTTEPA'
from the drop down Menu and click Submit.

6. In the next page the Applicant should provide his/her Application Id. After that please
click on Confirm.

7. In the next page the details will be displayed on the screen with Application Fee
Amount. Please provide the other mandatory information for Bank transaction.

8. After confirmation of the payment details, the Applicant can make payment through
Net Banking/Card Payment/Other Payment modes.

9. In the other payment mode, the applicant can download and print the Pre-
Acknowledgement payment challan and make the payment through any SBI Branch.

10. Please note the Bank Charges for each payment mode is different.

Generation of Merit List :

1. Subject-wise Merit list and College-wise and Subject-wise seat intake will be
published according to the schedule on the University website.
