I am writing to apply for PhD (Economics) Programme and Any other opportunities to advance

my career, in which I am enormously interested. A PhD degree in Economics from

Witwatersrand university will make me to compete globally which has been my aged long dream
and will also be a precious avenue for me to enrich my knowledge and orchestrate me to advance
my academic and research career in a prestigious university in the World. This will afford me
contribute to Africa Economic Development through my research output. With second class,
upper degree in Economics and excellent performance in MSc programme been the best student
in Advanced Microeconomics and Econometrics, I strongly believe that I am a suitable candidate
for the programme envisage to advance my career and being passionately curious and ever ready
to learn character. The choice of your university is because of its esteemed reputation in teaching
and research.

Right from my first degree, I have special interest in quantitative economics especially
Econometrics and Mathematical Economics. I am particularly vast in Econometric Modelling
and Application of Economic Theory, given the science background from my basic school and
being a trained mathematics teacher at High School; I have as well attended series of workshops
on Econometric modelling in Nigeria and very good in learning new analytical softwares. I have
also co-authored four papers in learned journals. Currently I am an active member of Economics
and Allied Research Network Nigeria (EARNN), Nigeria Economic Society (NES) as a group
and at individual level have handled a lot of research projects being a research assistance to
many Known research institutes and research scholars in the Country.

I have begun to use Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) model using Bayesian
techniques and very versatile in using Stata, Eview, SPSS, Shazam, R code and matlab/dynare
for Econometrics Analysis. This is due to my keen interest in the application of the approach in
International Finance and Monetary Economics. In fact, my concluded MSc Research was
analyzed using Bayesian VAR Techniques.

I understand that this opportunity is very competitive and other opportunity like being a research
assistance to renown professor like you is very scarce but your choice of choosing me will give
world break record for being a dedicated person in learning and working attracting and designing
