Sir,


This
 is
 to
 inform
 you
 that
 I,
 Dr
 Gaurav
 Chhabra
 a
 resident
 of
 Chandigarh,
 in
 the

service
of
our
Mother
nation,
with
the
intent
to
promote
the
noble
ideals,
which

inspired
our
national
struggle
for
freedom
and
also
to
promote
peace
&
fraternity

among
 the
 Citizens
 of
 Chandigarh
 is
 organizing
 a
 National
 Anthem
 Ceremony
 in

Tribute
to
Martyrs
of
Indian
Freedom
Struggle
and
to
those
who
lost
their
lives
in

the
traumatic
partition
of
Punjab
at
the
time
of
Independence.



The
said
event
is
scheduled
for
Sunday,
15th
August
between
9
am
to
11:30
am,
has

been
 named
 ‘Jai
 Hey’
 and
 is
 expecting
 a
 peaceful
 gathering
 of
 approx.
 1,000
 –

1,500
 citizens
 for
 singing
 the
 National
 Anthem
 at
 the
 Open
 Hand
 Monument
 to

celebrate
the
spirit
of
Freedom.


The
 venue
 of
 Open
 Hand
 Monument
 has
 been
 chosen,
 as
 it
 specially
 was

envisioned
 for
 bringing
 together
 citizens
 for
 the
 cause
 of
 the
 city
 to
 make
 their

participation
felt
as
a
part
of
whole
democratic
system.


Apart
 from
 this,
 the
 citizens
 shall
 pay
 their
 tribute
 to
 the
 Martyrs
 of
 Indian

Freedom
 Struggle
 and
 to
 those
 who
 lost
 their
 lives
 in
 the
 traumatic
 partition
 of

Punjab
 at
 the
 time
 of
 Independence.
 The
 same
 shall
 happen
 by

exchange/distribution
 of
 Green
 Saplings.
 The
 venue
 for
 this
 is
Martyrs
 Memorial,

near
 the
 Assembly
 building.
 The
 same
 has
 been
 chosen
 as
 the
 venue
 as
 it
 was

specially
envisioned
and
raised
for
the
very
same
purpose.


You
are
hence
kindly
requested
to
cooperate
for
the
said
event
and
as
a
matter
of

duty
towards
the
country
and
the
citizens
kindly
take
care
of
the
following:


1. Making
the
area
obstruction
free
for
the
participants
of
the
said
event.

 leading
 to
 the
 Punjab

Haryana
 High
 Courts),
 that
 provides
 the
 right
 of
 way
 to
 pedestrians
 be

made
 accessible
 and
 the
 wild
 growth
 that
 hinders
 the
 same
 may
 be
 get

cleaned
up
by
the
concerned

2. Make
necessary
security
arrangements
as
per
your
protocol
for
a
peaceful

public
event
of
such
magnitude.

3. Communicate
 the
 matter
 to
 all
 the
 concerned
 officers
 of
 the
 relevant

departments
for
smooth
conduct
of
the
event.

4. Grant
permission
for
Brass
Band
and
Drum
to
be
played
by
a
School‐band

to
accompany
National
Anthem,
keeping
in
mind
that
it
would
be
a
Sunday

and
Courts
would
be
closed.

5. Provide
guidance
and
assistance
with
the
Parking
facility
for
the
vehicles
of

the
citizens.


Your
 due
 cooperation
 shall
 enable
 the
 citizens
 of
 Chandigarh
 to
 fulfill
 the

Fundamental
Duties
as
provided
under
Article
51
(a)
of
the
Constitution
towards

creating
 a
 peaceful
 and
 prosperous
 nation.
