SEPANG, 13 February 2017 AirAsia X Berhad today confirms the suspension of its 3 times weekly
services from Kuala Lumpur to Mauritius.
The last Kuala Lumpur Mauritius service will be operated on 24 March 2017 while the last Mauritius Kuala
Lumpur service will be operated on 25 March 2017.
The suspension of the Mauritius route is a move made as part of the companys big plan in network
restructuring aimed at improving operational efficiencies in term of aircraft utilizations. It is also to
accelerate capacity growth in AirAsia X key markets of Australia, China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea.
Guests that are affected by the suspension of this route will be offered options to alleviate any
inconveniences that might occur. They will be notified directly via their registered member email account,
as well as via an SMS notification.
AirAsia X Berhad strongly urges all guests to keep their email addresses and mobile numbers with their
country code prefix updated in their AirAsia member profiles to ensure that the airline can reach them for
assistance.
Arik De, Chief Head of Commercial for AirAsia X Berhad said, The decision to withdraw from
Mauritius has to be made in order to rationalize our business strategy in providing a comprehensive
network and dominating key markets by growing capacity for us to operate more efficiently.

Affected guests for this route suspension will be able to choose the below options:-
iii) Move flight: Change to an earlier travel date (before suspension) on the same route without additional
cost and subject to seat availability
