Thanks for your interest in Nourish leadership for the 2016-2017 academic
year! We are an organization whose success has been due in large part to
the hard work, commitment, creativity and open-mindedness of its leaders,
and we want to continue that tradition. The purpose of this application is to
get a sense of what you think about Nourish-UNC right now, and what you
would like to contribute to Nourish-UNC next year. It is also important to note
that study abroad or other off-campus semester-long commitments do not
preclude participation in the Nourish-UNC executive board. If you have a
question about your specific situation, please send us an email. Please

11:59pm on Monday, February 20th, with Nourish-UNC Co-Director
Application in the subject line. Please save your application as

Interviews for the Co-Director position will be held from 2/22-2/26. You will
receive a confirmation email along with the option to sign up for an interview
time.

If you are completing this application, you will be considered for the following
position:

Nourish-UNC Co-Director (2):


Oversees and sets vision for Nourish-UNC Executive Board;
plans and runs weekly Exec Board meetings
Select the 2017-2018 Nourish-UNC Executive Board
Coordinates relationships and activities across committees
Plans a Leadership Retreat each semester and a
Leadership Transition Retreat in the Spring (2017)
Acts as a liaison between Nourish-UNC and the Nourish
International Office (NINO) and mediates relationships with NINO and
its Board of Directors
Serves on the Campus Y Cabinet by participating in bi-
weekly Cabinet meetings, acts as a liaison between Nourish-UNC and
other Y committees, participates in Campus Y evaluations and
campaigns

Guides committee co-chairs to help committees achieve
their goals and keep them accountable to those goals
Disseminates information about Exec Board activities to
the General Body
Oversees application and selection process of two First-
year Executive Officers (FEOs) during the fall semester; helps FEOs to
integrate into the larger Nourish community

Responsibilities Common to All Executive Board Members:

Attend spring transition (2017) and fall (2017) planning


retreats as well as a spring (2018) Leadership retreat
Set goals, plan ahead, and develop action steps for the
work of your committee/position (here, your executive board)
Attend weekly Nourish-UNC executive board meetings
(~1.5 hours)
Create and facilitate opportunities for leadership for
general body members
Complete proper documentation and evaluations for all of
your events, ventures, and projects
Actively participate in Nourish-wide activitiessupport the
events and initiatives of other committees and engage with the entire
Nourish-UNC organization

If you are chosen as a Co-Director of Nourish UNC, you will be


responsible for managing a large executive board, typically
including (but not limited to) the following positions:

Ventures Co-Directors (2)
Hunger Lunch Co-Directors (2)
Membership Co-Directors(2)
Marketing Director (1)
Evaluations Director (1)
Treasurer (1)
First Year Executive Officer (2)

If chosen, during the larger Exec selection process you and your co-director
will have the opportunity to change these positions in order to set your
executive board up in the way you and the larger Nourish community see as

most effective, functional, and reasonable.
