I will be away from the parish from this Wednesday to
the Friday of next week. Fr. Jude is coming for
masses on the weekend, the rest we will survive in
the usual fashion. I am off to the RE Congress at
Anaheim in the US together with fourteen others from
our diocese including Fr. Neil Muir. This is part of a
project to renew my search for and love of wisdom,
the one thing that has held my life together.
We are gradually sorting through Fr. John's things,
and this coming week his car will be going off to
Cairns.

Due to people arriving late to last year's Christmas Vigil in
Yungaburra as they thought it was the normal time of
5.30pm, the Parish Pastoral Council has been asked to
consider keeping the Yungaburra Vigil on Christmas Eve at
5.30pm, this would mean the Atherton Vigil would have to
move to 7pm. The Pastoral Council would like to hear your
thoughts on this time change before making a decision,
please choose the option that best suits your opinion,
leave on collection plate. Slips are available at the back of
the church to complete.
