Treasure Hunt Competition


Time: starts from 10.30 am

It will be a team event. Each team should consist of maximum 3 participants.

The team name, name of the participants and contact details (email, phone no., Whatsapp no.) must
be sent to www.globsyn.edu.in/serendipity2017 by 21st February, 2017

Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited.

The entire team must stay together or the team can split up to find different clues to help them on
the treasure hunt. The team members should remain throughout the game in GBS Campus.

Teams have to keep the clues with them until the game finishes.

The team has to complete various rounds of the treasure hunt in the allotted time. Points will be
deducted for coming late in finishing a certain task.

After collecting the parts as per clues, the event coordinators will assess it instantly and give it back
to the respective team.

Teams may pick up only one copy of the clue at each location. The team cannot hide or touch any of
the copies intended for teams that arrive after they pick their own clue up. Doing this is cheating
and results in disqualification.

Any damage done by participant to college property will result into instant disqualification from the
event and a penalty may be levied too, i.e. participants will have to pay for the damage they incur.
Any internal conflicts between teams will result into instant dismissal of those teams.

Final decision will be given by the judges only; no team or participant has the right to argue with
judges or coordinators.

According to increase in levels/rounds, the game area will be increased.


Mock Parliament
Event will start from 10.30 am

It will be a team event.

Each team should consist of 2 participants.

The topic of discussion will be: What should be the sustainable economic development model
for India?

The competition will be of two rounds.

First round will be an elimination round, where the participants will represent a fictitious party
name with the electoral identity (election symbol and color combination) and speak about their
agenda and policy regarding the greater political scenario and the given topic for maximum 5
minutes.

Evaluation will be based on the creativity and oratory skill.

No interjection or rebuttal by other teams is allowed in this round.

Qualified teams will be selected based on the performance in the elimination round.

There will be a 'Zero Hour' where the rules will be framed by the speaker of the mock parliament,
which will be followed by the debate on the given topic.

The debate will have two phases.

The first phase would involve individual performances from all the competing team. One
member of the team with highest point in the qualifying round would start the debate followed by
one member of the other teams. This process would continue till the last speaker. This process will
continue for 2 rounds. No interruption or support during speech is allowed in this phase. In the
1st round, the emphasis must be more on deliberation of ones views and in the 2nd round, the focus
must be more on rebuttal of others views by own views and arguments.

Time allotted per speaker will be of 2 minutes for the 1st round and 3 minutes for the 2nd round.

The second phase will be an open house session for 10 minutes, where the participants would
engage in debating on the topic as per the parliamentary discussion format.

Evaluation would be based on individual performance of each speaker on multiple parameters,


such as Content, Verbal Communication Skills and Clarity of Thoughts and also group
performance during open sessions.

AD Mad Competition
Event will start from 10.30 am

It will be a team event.

Each team should consist of maximum 3 participants.

The competition will be of two rounds.

First round will be an elimination round, where the teams will show a spoof on an established
brand/s for not more than 2 minutes. The props could be used in the performance, but should be
arranged by the participants. In case of audio and/or audio-visual clippings, necessary arrangement
would be made.

Each qualified team will have to prepare and demonstrate an advertisement on a fictitious product
impromptu.

InnoVision - Business Plan Competition


Event will start from 2 pm

It will be a team event.

Each team should consist of maximum 4 participants.

The Executive Summary of the business plan of not more than 200 words must be sent to
serendipity@globsynbschool.com by 20th February. On the basis of uniqueness, scalabilty and
profitability of ideas, a few teams will be called to make the final pitch on the day of event.

The time of presentation should not exceed 7 minutes, which will be followed by Q&A session.

Show your talent


Event will start from 2 pm

It will be an individual event.

Each participant will get maximum 3 minutes to showcase his or her talent, which could be singing,
dancing, mimicry, magic, or any other form deemed appropriate.

Fashion Show
Event will start from 3 pm

It will be a group event.

Each team will get maximum 7 minutes.

Theme: The Palette of Emotions

Photography Competition
It will be an individual event.

There is no bar in the number of participants for each participating college.

Uploaded Photos must be a minimum 1024 px longest side at 72 dpi.

Uploaded Photos must be saved in RGB/sRGB color gamut/mode.

Uploaded Photos must be saved as JPEG, no less than compression 7 (medium).

Files for upload must be no larger than 1 MB.

Original files [camera jpeg (not interpolated) or camera RAW, if available] of photographs need to
be sent.

Digital adjustments are only acceptable if limited to minor cleaning work (de-dusting), levels,
curves, color, saturation and contrast work.

Cropping is allowed. Sandwich shots, double exposures and photographs which consist in any way
of more than one separate photograph are not eligible in this category (e.g. HDR).

Original files might be required for any clearing any doubts.

Entrants must not infringe on the privacy rights, copyright or other rights of any person.

Do not include your name/watermark in the picture or in the frame, any picture containing such will
be automatically disqualified.

Artwork must be sent to serendipity@globsynbschool.com by 20th February

The name of the artwork must include the name of the student along with the college (full name or
abbreviation)

Short Films Competition
Short film of duration of not more than 7 minutes on the theme: The Palette of Emotions must
be sent to serendipity@globsynbschool.com by 20th February

File size should not exceed 25MB.
